They stockpile military hardware. You sit in parks and hold signs. Who would you bet your money on?

And this nation hasn't been out of debt since 1865 and no longer has revenue to even make the interest payments. Yeah, makes great sense.

Now a properly jaded cynic would ask, how much is this really costing? I'm sure the total cost is far more than the article states. Several police departments have gotten tanks, helicopter gunships and extreme naval vessels.

"1033 was passed by Congress in 1997 to help law-enforcement fight terrorism and drugs, but despite a 40 year low in violent crime, police are snapping up hardware like never before. While this years staggering take topped the charts, next years orders are up 400 percent over the same period.

This upswing coincides with an increasingly military-like style of law-enforcement most recently seen in the Occupy Wall Street crackdowns."

That's all folks! After 235 years, the American experiment in democracy is now DEAD. Next they are going to shut down the Occupy websites with SOPA, block all foreign news websites, and all the sheeple can go back to happily eating the shit of the 1%.

But don't forget the important things in life. Black Friday was the biggest ever! Americans fought like sewer rats over that electronic junk made in China by slave labor.

Oh, boy here we go. If there was any wonder that we are heading towards a police state--you need not wonder anymore.

It is interesting that this article came out right now after the S.1867 bill passed in the Senate with 2/3 the vote. Now if it passes in the House with well over 2/3 the vote a presidential veto is not possible, as Congress could override it. Also, the secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, made a statement the other day that their is a rise of lone wolf terrorist. Just another tactic to justify even more invasion of our privacy and more police brutality.

Every American needs to be alarmed by this.

Yeah, I really don't like what I see going on. Where is the outrage of the American people? I am just bewildered by this.

The in-group will do all it can to stay in power. And that's what you've got to keep in mind. They'll use the army and the navy and lies or whatever they have to use to keep in power. They're not about to give it up. Because they know of no other system that perpetuates their kind. Jacque Fresco
