RonPaul 2012 :)

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

gee

maybe no one wants a leader at this point

[-] 1 points by owschico (295) 12 years ago

shhhh! :)

[-] 2 points by TheKing (93) 12 years ago

OWSers will dutifully vote for obama.

[-] 0 points by owschico (295) 12 years ago

I know its quite sad

[-] 1 points by TheKing (93) 12 years ago

I think it's pushing his poll numbers up slightly. OWSers are hard core obama supporters.

[-] 0 points by owschico (295) 12 years ago

these people are just useful idiots

[-] 2 points by JadedGem (895) 12 years ago

Well, I think it depends more on how much OWS comes to hate Tea Party trolls whether or not they vote for anyone. I'm not planning to vote at this time. Obama has done nothing to earn my vote and the only thing that could entice me to vote for him is out of SPITE! lol

[-] -1 points by Perspective (-243) 12 years ago

:-( Another person silences themselves,no vote,no participation in the only way to make your political voice heard, sad.

[-] 1 points by JadedGem (895) 12 years ago

No withholding a vote that would be placed in a largely republican dominated area does no harm, my vote would not have counted anyway. And the only way to bring about needed reforms may be to withhold a vote. No one should count on winning an election simply because they are least scarey candidate! If the country keeps offering up crappy choices and calling it FREEDOM, I'm gonna hurl. Elect Obama because what else can you do? I'd like to see him make that into a commercial! lol

[-] 0 points by Perspective (-243) 12 years ago

Sorry, the only way your vote doesn't count is if you don't cast it. Apathy is a horrible thing that contributed to the current situation.

[-] 1 points by JadedGem (895) 12 years ago

It isn't apathy at all. I simply am aware our government is so corrupt that a vote for either party is a useless thing. Vote for what? They all take money from the 1%. They all serve the 1%. They are mere puppets serving their masters. Voting won't make it a government the people of the world should view as legitimate. By voting I am say it is a system I have faith in and I believe someone is counting my vote and my vote will influence policy. I believe no such thing!

[-] 0 points by Perspective (-243) 12 years ago

Then you're part of the problem.

[-] 1 points by JadedGem (895) 12 years ago

Has Obama made secret plans to lockup the bankers that contributed so heavily to his campaign? I'm not the problem. There are problems. It was problem that media was talking the presidential penis when NAFTA was passed! There are many, many, many problems. Saying I would rather be counted as one of many who no longer believe in our system of government and have abstained from perpetuating the myth that this is a functional republic because we are not nor have we ever been a democracy!

[-] 2 points by sudoname (1001) from Berkeley, CA 12 years ago

There is clear evidence that wall street did better than ever under Obama. Obama is a shill.

[-] 1 points by GreedKills (1119) 12 years ago

The only candidate's name I see on here is Paul. Not that OWS endorses Paul, (or anyone else) he is being forced down the throats of the people of OWS. Let's see how that goes...

[-] 1 points by Alldeesx3 (23) 12 years ago

The dumb shit republican candidates are doing a fine job of getting Obama reelected

[Removed]

[-] 1 points by dantes443322 (148) 12 years ago

Re-election?

Nope. The game plan is to create so much civil disobedience as possible so the need for martial law to be implemented is viable. No elections in this environment.

this video has already been debunked several times

Debunked by who? Paid experts? Stop pulling a Soros on us.

[-] 1 points by moediggity (646) from Houston, TX 12 years ago

And that video was made by paid for right wing bloggers. If money and truth are involved, the product that comes out of it is a lie 10/10 times.

[-] 0 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

I'm sorry. There is something to it. A lot to it. Like I said, I am not one for conspiracies, but the warning signs were there like a bright flashing like from the beginning. They almost got lost in the confusion. It's not gonna happen.

[-] 1 points by moediggity (646) from Houston, TX 12 years ago

You aren't one for conspiracies and yet you think that the communists are going to take every thing over and that george soros is like the snidley whiplash villian behind the scenes going "NYAAHHH I'LL INSTILL COMMUNISM IN AMERICA AND MAKE EVERYONE MY SLAVES MYAAAAAAAAAAAHH! Yeah youre a nutjob

[-] 0 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

I am getting sick of you fucktards constantly saying that this is for him when we have made it clear over and over again that we aren't. And the shittiest part is that you make sock puppets, post pro-obama shit and then go "see I told ya!" Go fuck yourself.

[-] -1 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

You are for one world order. You are part of what's called the American Autumn. It won't work.

[-] 2 points by MJMorrow (419) 12 years ago

The Democrats and Republicans are for a Globalist one World order. They adhere to the ideas of guys like Prof. Jeff Sachs, at Columbia University. I am for the establishment of a Social Democratic Party. I am for the equitable distribution of wealth, income and political representation; so are the vast majority of Americans, according to the last polls, I checked. While there are Anarcho- Communists, behind the protest movement, getting a party started will require working through the election laws of each state, getting filtered through the mainstream of the will of the community. I am confident that a Social Democratic Party will be popular, I doubt that an Anarcho-Communist Party would be. Still, ad-busters didn't ship jobs to Communist China, Corporate America did.

[Removed]

[-] 0 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

You are just trying to add to the confusion and chaos by spreading the blame around. Most people are aware of this tactic as well.

[-] 1 points by MJMorrow (419) 12 years ago

The Democrats, Republicans, Corporate America and Wall Street have clear, direct ties to the process of Globalization and the advancement of Globalization. To suggest otherwise is, at best, bizzare. Corporate Ameirca, Wall Street and the ultra rich are directly responsible, for the rise of ecoonomic, political and military power in Communist China, without a doubt, not ad busters. Ad busters is an Anarcho movement that helped get this movement going, but, so what? is ad busters the reason that jobs go to China and India?

[-] -1 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

Soros, the Rothchilds, The Tides Foundation. American Autumn, Adbusters and Moveon, org

not gonna work.

[-] 1 points by MJMorrow (419) 12 years ago

So ad busters formed the EU and entered the US into NAFTA? Ad busters sent the jobs to China? Sorry Rex, it doesn't matter if the Easter bunny started OWS, The Democrats, Republicans, Corporate Ameirca and Wall Street are behind the destruction of US jobs and the process of Globalization. Deny it, but there is a record of the role the Governemnt and big business played, so the USA isn't buying it. Globalization is not the fault of OWS.

[-] 0 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

No, but that's not what this is about. This is about a dangerous faction on the left trying to gain control. It's a perfect time in our history to try this. It's blatantly obvious.

[-] 1 points by moediggity (646) from Houston, TX 12 years ago

take your meds nut job! No one here ever once called for anything like that you are full of fucking shit!

[-] 0 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

Of course you won't be out in the open about it. I am not the one full of shit.

[-] 1 points by moediggity (646) from Houston, TX 12 years ago

Oh yeah, because anyone here of all places is going to be shy about their political beliefs. You must live a sheltered life.

[-] 0 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

It's a planned production. The protesters should be on Broadway, not Wall Street.

[-] 1 points by moediggity (646) from Houston, TX 12 years ago

Cuckoo! cuckoo!

exactly, the globalists are very sneaky indeed

[-] 0 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

I plan to vote for him. Proud of it. You vote for whoever you want. The plain fact is that despite his faults, President Obama is a far better choice than anyone the repelicans may put forth - and for one absolutely critical reason:

repelicans still insist that there is no global warming.

R.E.P.E.L.I.C.A.N.S.

L.I.E.

And we are all gonna pay the price for the slow pace toward alternative energy solutions.

[-] 2 points by April (3196) 12 years ago

Every time I see you talk about the Repelicans it makes me laugh! Thanks for that. And I've been enjoying your blog by the way.

[-] 1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

Wow! a F.A.N.!

How cool is that?

And speaking of repelicans . . .

if you can find a clip of Obama's inauguration on youtube it's worth watching. Note the Chief Justice as he administers the oath of office. He looks like a little kid about to pee his pants . . .

then he flubs the oath of office, and the President either remains silent - or corrects him, I can't remember.

Watch the clip and then tell me it isn't true -

tell me the Chief Justice wasn't so giddy with excitement over the prospect of repelicans all across the land insisting:

not only is Obama a Muslem,

not only was he born in Africa,

He isn't even a legitimately sitting President because he was never sworn in!

Tell me the Chief Justice wasn't so giddy with excitement at the prospect that he fucked up his planned fuck up, and thus found himself chastised later that evening in the Oval Office as the oath of office was re-administered.

[-] 0 points by karenpoore (902) 12 years ago

Why can't anyone spell Republican? Or learn to use spell check!

[-] 1 points by April (3196) 12 years ago

[-] 1 points by journey4word (214) 12 years ago

Im sorry, no we have already paid. for an industry that can't sustain itself.

Solyndra Solar Panel plant in Fremont, California has wasted a billion dollars, $535 million of those a direct bailout from U.S. taxpayers, and it is going “bust.”

The Solyndra Solar panel plant in Fremont, California served as the convenient “backdrop” for Barack Obama’s “green economy” speeches in California, and other campaigning Democrats.

Flashback: “The promise of clean energy isn’t just an article of faith,” Obama said, “It’s not just some abstract possibility for science fiction movies or a distant future or 10 years down the road or 20 years, it’s happening right now. The future is here.” – President Obama, speaking at Solyndra Solar.

[-] 2 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

Yeah-ya.

And then there was an Air Force flyby of the Statue of Liberty. That fuckup terrified the entire city of New York.

I'm sure the President is considering whom he will fire next. Point being - I'm sure he didn't personally review the details of Solydra any more than he did that

Air Force photo op

[-] 1 points by dantes443322 (148) 12 years ago

So he is absolutely incompetent then. Go ahead, give him your vote. Nothing is ever his fault. Granted, I'm sure he didn't personally review it as well. That would have cut into his time on the golf course.

Seriously, yesterday his schedule was-

5:30pm - meeting with advisers

That's all he did all day..

[-] 1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

that's all he did all day . . . .

and you know that how? exactly? you repelican shill . . .

That's right, I am voting for Obama. No, I do not see any contradiction in that. Yes I realize that many among the OWS probably will not vote for him, and that's fine. Whatever.

The fact is that I saw the President on tv while he was in Turkey shortly after he was elected. I saw him standing on a dais with the Turkish PM. A cannon went off. He practically jumped out of his skin. I don't believe any of us have any idea how much pressure he's been under these last four years -

and given that he pissed off some very powerful neo-conservative right wing whack jobs by ending the possibility of a 50 year occupation of Iraq - and did so as C.A.N.D.I.D.A.T.E. Obama, with his declaration that if elected he would bring the troops home in 16 months - I'd say the man has balls.

B.I.G. B.R.A.S.S. B.A.L.L.S.

Do I like the fact that he seems to flip flop on the issue of off shore drilling? NO I do not. But the fact is that he continues to return to the theme of needing public support to get Congress to act.

I don't think we should permit any off shore drilling until the oil industry can display a high degree of ethical integrity anywhere they operate anywhere in the world - If they cannot drill the Nigerian Delta - where the people have suffered pollution on an annual basis equal to the BP oil spill every single year

for the last fifty years

without poisoning the landscape then it is clear they will attempt to get away with whatever they can wherever they operate.

Do I like the idea that home heating assistance may be cut in half to appease repelican nimrods and nitwits who insist on balancing the budget without raising revenue?

No I do not. Here in Vermont that raises the very real prospect that some people may actually freeze to death in their own homes. It has happened before. A woman in Southern Vermont was found in her own kitchen, water pipes burst, on her knees frozen to the linoleum.

I think a great deal of the dead lock in Congress today has everything to do with energy policy and very little to do with actual ideological issues over our debt. National debt never came up as an issue under Bush, even as our spending approached a trillion annually to fund war.

And if that is correct, if much of the deadlock is over energy policy, and the push toward energy alternatives, then what do you suppose will happen with a repelican in the White House?

Our march toward oblivion with over 750 ppm atmospheric carbon will continue on with Congress leading the way, playing marching anthems and smiling all the way.

* nitwits *

LOL.

How long has he been in office? I think a touch longer than 16 months. You remind me of a domestic abuse victim. Smack you in the face but he'll tell you he loves you. And you'll support him. Must be a sad existence.

[-] 0 points by Perspective (-243) 12 years ago

Gotta bust your bubble on the Iraq thing. Bush is the one who made the agreement with Iraq for the withdrawal of troops. Obama is merely following Bush's agreement with Iraq. If our govt didn't spend our tax dollars stupidly we wouldn't be in this mess or at least not as big of one. Seriously, why do we need to pay for a study of shrimp running on a treadmill? Stop funding the stupid shit and our situation wouldn't be so bad.

[-] 1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

wrong

During the election Candidate Obama said if elected he would pull the troops out of Iraq in 16 months.

Within days the Bushite White House radically revised their position on Iraq, and only then began public discussion of a timeline for withdrawl.

I think that was around Feb of 08.

I'm sure you can google.

And while you are at it, google up the largest embassy in the world.

It sits in Bagdad, at a cost of over half a billion paid for by U.S. tax dollars, built with s.l.a.v.e. l.a.b.o.r. - foreign nationals flown into Bahrain where their passports were confiscated before continuing on to Iraq - and they had no idea they were headed to a war zone.

Bush had no plan to draw down our presence in Iraq at any point in the near future - not until Candidate Obama made it a campaign issue.

and that pissed off a lot of neo-con whaaack jobs.

speaking of which -

are you a neo-con nimrod?

[-] 0 points by Perspective (-243) 12 years ago

Wow you are really an Obama drone so no point in giving you FACTS because you just ignore them. Have a Nice Day

[-] 1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

facts are actually something repelicans abhor.

that would be

neo-con nimrods like you

go ahead. Google. Google the 'largest embassy in the world."

I dare ya.

[-] 0 points by Perspective (-243) 12 years ago

How nice of you to throw insults. You seem very good at it. I did what you suggested but fail to see anything related to the subject. The way you hurl insults you seem to be the angry one. Peace out.

[-] 0 points by journey4word (214) 12 years ago

well, probably not. I imagine many presidents have had similar oversights.

The problem is Everybody on the planet knows solar and wind don't put out enough to be profitable. No investor in his/her right mind would put their OWN hard earned money into it. so why do we let the government step in and spend our tax dollars to invest in Obvious looser investments?

IF technology advances within the field to the point they can convince YOU to invest YOUR money ? you should be free to back it. support it, and I hope you PROFIT from it. ( i know this goes against OWS thinking but).

[-] 1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

I haven't researched it in depth but my understanding is that wind farms actually are profitable, as are solar systems.

Two of my neighbors have solar panels, and we gather around the meter every solstice and dance as the meter spins backward.

It's quite entertaining. You should try it.

[-] 0 points by journey4word (214) 12 years ago

sweet :)

let us know when it wont cost us $535 million a year

[-] 1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

hey, I agree. It's a huge cluster fuck - and someone should go to jail. That doesn't mean it should be allowed to derail every single initiative toward alternative energy.

The fact is that it is simple math. A wind turbine will spin at rate of x over one year given y as an average wind speed annually - and the turbine's output is known. Costs are quantifiable. Income generated has certain margin of variability based on existing market pricing of electricity. And once the turbines are up there are no pollution outputs to account for.
