OWS is engaging in ridiculous behavior which causes them to be viewed as a cult. OWS is absolutely ridiculous! Either give it up or go back to peaceful demonstrations. Maybe create a political party based on your values. But this current track you're on is gonna lead to destruction.
America is a cult ... the believers are drinking something I wish I could get my hands on if I could abandon my pursuit of truth altogether.
OWS should go back to sleep just like this poster.

Perhaps he wants to help. I happen to agree with the poster even though I think Occupy is of extreme importance. It's a much needed protest to fight government corruption, but it's a fact that it displays many cult like behaviors. Occupy protesters refuse all forms of criticism like most cult followers. The anarchists are running the show and earnest protesters aren't saying anything even when these anarchist are pushing for the protest to turn violent. If you guys don't wake up soon, Occupy will die because its reputation will have been soiled.

Did you read the above article? It's an official press release written by the OWS anarchists who control the show. They ask you to "Wear Black Fight Back" just above an image with an explosion under the word "cops". This is extremely bad marketing at a time when so many people criticize the black bloc for using violence against the police. Official press releases should do the opposite, they should distance themselves from the black bloc, not ask protesters to wear the same color as these guys, and not publish images with explosions beside the word "cops".
Of course, bringing this to your attention will do little to help Occupy become more transparent and truly non-violent. You can't accept criticism because you've been brainwashed. It's also important to note that Iv'e been banned for reporting this. Anarchists are like totalitarian leaders, they do not accept criticism and stop it by using censorship and banning.
My hope is that earnests protesters will eventually wake up. However, I fear this won't happen before the protest's reputation has been ruined.
Wow! I agree except I was thinking that OWS had become an "alternative lifestyle" rather than a cult. I have been working on the transparency issue and have met with strong resistance.

The Finance (Accounting) Working Group refuses to post a full accounting of how much money has come in or where it has been spent. If you read the posts, you will see that many have asked and that when they do respond it is with anger.

In October 2011, they released a financial statement, which was supposed to be monthly, but they have not produced one since claiming they are over worked. At the same time, they turn down all offers of help by people with experience with accounting.
They refuse to post cash donations (only posting online deposits or checks) so it is not possible to figure out whether anything is missing.

Not only are you ignorant, but you show pride in being inhumane. It's one thing to disagree with OWS because you question their values, but it's another thing to stereotype the entire movement based on what was seen on the media. You label people as collateral damage, as if they are nothing more than the pavement you walk on. I am astounded on how you care only about yourself and if the universe is revolving around your ego. Good luck with that.
