In the sense that we are on the same side of them, just our politics tilt left and theirs to the right. In either case it is a populist movement against a corrupt government.
They are angry about taxes: where the money comes from
We are angry about corporate welfare: where the money goes to
Why label something and try to fit it in with something that already exists.
In my lifetime, this is the first time something like this has happened. That makes it new and undefinable to alot of us.
When you put a label on something, you put expectations on it and when you compare it to something, you tag it with pre-existing bias.
What are you doing?
Just trying to show that the Tea Party and OWS are not different things and the labels are wrong. The media wants to make this a left right fiht, but what if we don't follow along?
no offense Teacher ... but if you think OWS is a liberal cause ... you have been co-opted.
Only making the point that many people here are left leaning.
Liberal and "Left" are not exactly the same thing
semantics, you know what I meant. And yes, there are those kinds of "left" people on here too, I'm sure.
Teacher I think the Tea Party moderates do support OWS ( in fact I know some that do ) and I think they could be the tipping point for OWS to gain some traction I see what is happening right now as just falling apart for OWS :(
