I have never seen any OWSer ever carrying any picture of Chairman Mao or any other authoritarian figure. If OWS can be said to be influenced by any foreign thought it is much more in the vein of anarchism than of any authoritarian variety of socialism. If they are followers of Marx, it is much more likely that they follow Groucho than Karl. And they are much more (John) Lennonists than they are (Vladimir) Leninists.
obama had an ornament with mao's face on the white house christimas tree last year. why would he do that?
