Reduce your support of individuals, entities, and big corporations that influence our leaders with massive campaign donations, private jet rides, and commercial lobbying efforts. They have a right to be heard just like the rest of us but not with wads of cash, not with free gifts or services, and not behind closed doors.
With no regard whatsoever for partisanship, I'll start the list with a few individuals and entities that are well known to have a strong influence on our screwed up government.
AT&T, Beyonce, Blue Cross, Comcast, Dreamworks, GE, Goldman Sachs, Honeywell International, the Koch brothers, Las Vegas Sands, Lockheed Martin, Oprah Winfrey, Microsoft, the NRA, Wall-Mart, and Warren Buffet.
Do your research. If any of the above sell it or promote it, then don't buy it unless absolutely necessary. and don't believe for one second that any of the above are acting on our behalf. They aren't. They never have. They never will. Those who claim otherwise do it only for show. Their true motives are image and profit.
We need to spread the word far and wide. A half dozen people skipping a product or two won't make a difference.
I wonder if we can popularize getting the candidates running in our next set of elections to sign a "no lobbist pledge", i,e, that they pledge not to accept money from any lobbying organizations?
I would love to see them squirm if someone were to ask that of them during a campaign stop. Then again, they would probably do what they always do. Disregard the question and pretend as if they were asked how they plan to create jobs.

Cool & re. ''Hamster-Wheel Economics'', see :
From which .. ''We live in a hamster-wheel economy: No matter how fast it spins or how hard workers toil, it's not moving ahead. What's the best way out of the economic malaise that results from chronic under-employment, persistent joblessness, and household income levels that date back before many American workers were even born?''
