We could turn this into a real nice brainstorming, idea sharing, shoot-the-shit platform, its got the name recognition already, which is the toughest part (Ive had to create this shit from scratch for people before, very very very tough).
I'll figure out who is running the site, in the meantime start putting together ideas on great interactive posts... such as.. Should Occupy Endorse Bernie? What Caused Occupy to Get Shut Down? Is Donald Trump the Devil? How Do We Reverse Our Trade Deals? etc etc etc...
Please do figure out who is running this thing, and who is paying for the server. It's ridiculous that we have no contact with those people. At anytime, this server could be taken off line, then we would lose contact with each other. Until we know who is running this thing and we establish a good rapport with him, or her, or them, we have no security that this place will last even another day.

Ask Micah White. I think he's in charge of this place now. I would like it opened up for sure. I'm pretty sure everyone still here would be for that. I am sending you a PM.
We have to ask the person in control of the server and software. No other way. It used to be jart (Justine Tunney), but shadz alluded a few days ago that the control had shifted hands. Not sure. Someone else might be running it now. My guess is Micah White since all the official news here is about him.

I'm wondering if people here still care. Even DKAtoday and shadz don't post much anymore. I always thought one of them would be the 'last man standing'. That struggleforfreedom guy used to post a lot too. Not sure what happened. Seems like people here don't care anymore.
It's not that, its that things need to create new interesting aspects to maintain an audience for years over time. There's a million and one things that could be done with a site like this, with this level of name recognition.

I am of course - TOTALLY FOR Opening Up The Sign Up Page for the reasons stated by you and others & I got blocked by jart on Twitter for my efforts to engage her about the matter there. Not that I give a fck about that or her tbh - not after my previous five deletions from this forum. You too have had to suffer the same and you too persist despite petty indignities like frozen points, ''0'' and having your vote withdrawn.
Our politics may differ somewhat but I have NEVER doubted your genuine commitment to The 99%. So in short, I trust you and I do get your points about this forum. This place needs to be re-opened - to new members AND old & have the ''Stinkle Option'' frozen, BUT there has to be a mod/mods we can all trust.
I'd love to say that we don't need a mod but cunT-boy and anti-OWS elements, have form and history on the forum & will wreck it &/or try to infiltrate and troll it IF left unchecked. TrashyManque' will push for no mods but his 100+ (I personally had a list of his old monikers ... but I had to stop counting at 50!) - AND his basically shallow; apparently apolitical; substance and depth free postings on any matters that may actually impact, concern or affect The 99% - say that he obsesses about procedure alone for a purpose.
I'll never call for anyone's banning but TrashyManque' Troll-Bot etc must be kept in check by considerate mods who won't manipulate this place for their own ends. I'll do anything I can to help you and others to make the case to TPTB to re-open this place up again BUT I'll NEVER trust people who CLEARLY have no 99%/OWS agenda! Who is trolling is in the eye of the beholder. You got banned many times just like me. Jart considers you a troll. The main difference between us is that I don't soil the forum with foul mouth language like you do. You remind me of hitgirl, another member of your Twinkle Team.
We don't need a moderator, what we need is an ignore function. That way anybody can choose to read what they want. I believe in giving people the power to choose, not have a moderator to choose for them. I don't ask my mom to hold my hand when I cross the street. With an ignore feature, a user who considers another user a troll can simply choose to ignore him or her. This is by far the best solution. If you truly cared about OWS principles and the 99%, then you wouldn't want a moderator with more power than regular users. That goes completely against the ideology of OWS.
It took jart awhile to figure out that you and the rest of the Twinkle Team were the real trolls. But, when she finally did, she blocked all of you. You had the audacity to break the forum rules and come back. Not only do you Troll with the Twinkle Team, you also troll with the conspiracy theorists breaking forum rule #2. A double whammy troll. The best way for someone like you to spend his time is to learn to think. To learn to forge a disciplined path of truth seeking. How to interpret facts, what constitutes evidence, etc... By restraining your lust for fantasy and engaging is a disciplined research approach, you will slowly leave the world of conspiracy theorists and join that of serious scholars. It's never too late to become a thinker.

As far as forums go, its like an outside event... Nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd.
