For the past two weeks, Governor Cuomo has been talking a lot about the threat of climate change. Of course, he's right -- it's a huge problem.

But Cuomo has not done the one thing he can personally do to fight climate change. Okay, he probably turns the lights off when he leaves a room, but he has not yet banned fracking in New York.

Gas drilling extends our dependence on fossil fuels, delaying the shift to clean energy. Worse, the methane released by fracking is a greenhouse gas 100 times more potent than carbon dioxide.

Today, hundreds of New Yorkers are picking up the phone and calling Governor Cuomo to tell him to ban fracking.

Make your call today! Click here for detailed instructions and a suggested script.

The Working Families Party has been fighting against fracking for years, and we've had some breakthroughs recently.

A few weeks ago, the Department of Environmental Conservation said that they would conduct a public health review -- and that it would likely delay the environmental review process past its November deadline. That would mean that they'll have to start over from scratch.

Also, just last week, a record number of New Yorkers voted on the WFP ballot line. We're still waiting on the official numbers, but what's clear is that hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers voted on the WFP line because they support our priorities, including banning fracking!

Now we have to turn that pressure into action. Call Governor Cuomo today and urge him to ban fracking in New York!

Climate Change is important but it is only one example of how the environment is being destroyed. Deforestation air pollution and fraking are other examples. Some of these aren't in dispute although the corporations would create a dispute if it increases short term profit but they all deserve more attention including, as you say, Fraking!

If in doubt don't destroy the planet not the other way around. they may increase profit in the short term but in the long term even they will pay the price for this if they don't use their brains.

That is why they need someone to watch over them - they are blind with greed - and need keepers to prevent them from killing us all.
