You can't evict an idea but Bloomberg thugs with socialite city planner mega millionaire with 40 mill trust for kids evict NYers for rich pals including Universities Like Columbia look at today's posts. All of them. We need u here in NYC. We need a hospital. We need hospitals bailed out not banks. http://suzannahbtroy.blogspot.com/2011/11/evil-amanda-peoples-burden-city-planner.html

I hope for us all that the Empire dose not use real guns out of desperation and keep us separated from the crouds. They used mercenary solders in Iraq to kill people under underneath the scenes .They may try that tactic on us, if there is no author way to control the future mass protest. That will be all in the name to protect shopping malls owned by the 1%.

[-] 1 points by warbstar (210) 12 years ago

With the crafting of the Indefinite Detention bill this is exactly what to expect. The American military machine is now planning to indefinitely detain the 99% in secret at an undisclosed location. Due process, right to a hearing, probable cause, and more is becoming a thing of the past. Jamming the machines by throwing our bodies in the cogs has failed.

Destruction of the machine is the only option that is left.

what desperation? what crowds? there is no need to kill you. the people are not following you.

The number of followers shrinks every day because the core of the movement has become way too radical. I mean listen to some of the things these people want its crazy and completely unrealistic. Its to bad they didn't just focus on something like getting money out of politics that would have made serious change instead of trying to make there perfect world, I'm afraid the very thing they claim to fight has brought this movement to its knees, Greed, maybe not for money but for there views. Instead of encouraging every one, picking the issues that every one can agree with and working on changing those issues. They ostracize the ones that don't go along with there radical ideas and only diminish there numbers more and more. When you see pictures of gatherings now they have shrunk so much its sad, sad because this movement really could have changed the world. I believe there focus was incorrect from the start, they were mad at the rich but really why be mad at the rich for buying the government, they should have been mad at the government for allowing themselves to be bought or for bailing out banks and killing the process of natural selection or mad at them selves for watching it happen or for not budgeting so in times of trouble they could survive financially.

[-] 1 points by korzib9 (80) from Newark, NJ 12 years ago

We are in complete agreement. OWS is unlikely to succeed because it should have been better organized and aimed at removing money from politics. Nearly all the other complaints are the symptoms of the problem. Wall street's greed and wealth are the result of bad incentives created by bad government policy.

UPDATE Monday at 9:35 a.m.: "The city had originally set a midnight deadline for the protesters to clear the area, but later pushed back the deadline to 4:30 a.m. local time after thousands of protesters gathered at the location to show their support for the movement."

^^^ there is strength in numbers. The police cannot defeat thousands..

Well, they can defeat thousands, but maybe they've calculated the cost right now would be too great.

PEOPLE! This is USTREAM!! It's a for-profit organisation. It has nothing to do with OWS! We just use their services, they put ads..

[-] 1 points by onandon (1) 12 years ago

That makes OWS a sell out

[-] 2 points by hmmm (52) 12 years ago

Well, i assume they're also paying for internet connection. Does that make them sell outs too? They'd need computers and internet connection equipment too, all bought from for-profit companies. It seems to me that it's very difficult not to sell out here.

I know that it's not ideal to have ads at the start of their stream, but i hope that most people here have the willpower to resist the pull of the advertisements.

The legal system in LA is corrupt beyond repair if one single protester is arrested, and stays in jail longer than Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton!

[-] 2 points by CrossingtheDivided (357) from Santa Ysabel, CA 12 years ago

"Political rights do not exist because they have been legally set down on a piece of paper, but only when they have become the ingrown habit of a people, and when any attempt to impair them will meet with the violent resistance of the populace. Where this is not the case, there is no help in any parliamentary Opposition or any Platonic appeals to the constitution.

One compels respect from others when he knows how to defend his dignity as a human being. This is not only true in private life, it has always been the same in political life as well.

The peoples owe all the political rights and privileges which we enjoy today in greater or lesser measure, not to the good will of their governments, but to their own strength."

I live in France but i would to say that i fully support your cause guys, from LA to NYC, you're showing the rest of the world the way. No more injustice in our economies, it's not fair that the poorest always have to carry the burden of other economic classes.

I feel really bad for the next generations, unless...unless they wake up before it's too late...

Thank you all,

The fact that there is a CND bank ad before the clip started albeit in ustream seems like a disruption in the "message" of OCCUPY, Yet the sincerity of the cause continues to inspire positive subtle change. Daily efforts continue to fuel compassionate "energetic" support for this revolution towards progressive evolution. Let us continue supporting the SINCERITY of the message with individualized actions that create a mass force of change.

Capitalism and all that goes along with it is so embedded in society that it´s hard to get around it. Only in a free, democratic, egalitarian and just society can we fully escape it.

As I mentioned in my article The Transition Phase: The Road to Freedom we have to expect that the police are going to make things difficult for the Occupy Movement. It is, however, important to think in long term perspective. On the way to a free, democratic, egalitarian and just society we must continue the fight no matter what. We have to expect lots of opposition from the elites and their supporters and servants. Not only do we have to expect and prepare ourselves for media-propaganda, we also have to expect more police brutality. Its a natural reaction of the finacial elite who will become more and more scared of the movement(s) as they grow. The state and government are often very servile to the wealthy finacial elite, especially in the US where the wealthy more or less control policies. The police is a tool of the business-run, or business-influenced state to try to crush the ones who want to take back from the wealthy what has been stolen thru bailouts, exploitation and speculation at the stock exchange. The elites are starting to feel threatened, they want to keep all that they have stolen, so naturally they want to stop The Occupy Movement and anyone else involved in the struggle with police force. These tendencies are however an indication that we´re on the right track: The elites are getting scared, and react by increasing their effort in trying to crush movements. The finacial elite will however fail. Police brutality is counter-productive, it just leads to more support and sympathy for people engaged in the struggle among the general population. The Occupy Movement should, as I mentioned in the article, react with non-violent means including an increasing number of strikes; sit-down strikes, local general strikes, all of´em.

NYU, Cooper Union and NY Law dorm by Hell's Angels E. Village all did illegal zone busting corrupt deals with help of Bloomberg and evil mega-millionaire city planner Amanda the People's Burden.

So the LAPD say if the protestors stay in the park and on the sidewalks, they wont be arrested and will be allowed to stay, at least for now. So what to the protestors do? They erect a teepee in the middle of the street. This is asking for confrontation and arrests, and when that happens, watch the mock shock and outrage and cries of "we weren't doing anything wrong" "police brutality" "amendment violation" etc etc. It is this sort of BS that causes average people like me to turn away from the OWS movement in disgust.

[-] 2 points by XXAnonymouSXX (455) 12 years ago

If you are so disgusted with the movement jimmy than stop posting comments. It makes no sense. All you keep saying is how you don't support the movement yet you continue to post on here. Make up your mind brother. www.thrivemovement.com

[-] 1 points by hattiecat (5) 12 years ago

People inside your"movement" and outside of it are reading your conversations.WE are interested in reading what you are really all about. That is why we are here and that is why we post to these threads. Are you only interested in hearing things you agree with? Or from people that agree with you? That is not very intelectual if you ask me, it is childish.

[-] 1 points by XXAnonymouSXX (455) 12 years ago

That's quite an assumption there hattie. I am very interested in hearing from people I may not agree with. I have had many conversations with people I don't necessarily agree with all the time. That's what this is about. We may not agree but we are on the same team. What I am saying is that I have read alot of his posts and most are negative or just spewing rhetoric. I don't understand coming on here and just being destructive. Personally I welcome everyone who wants to have a real conversation not just criticism. I am sure there are plenty of OWS hate sites for that. We are not getting anywhere by bickering. These problems we face are everyone's and we need to start understanding that we must work together to solve them. That includes involving the 1%. We are all human beings are we not? Whatever has a negative impact on 1 impacts all. "When the power of Love overcomes the Love of power, the world will know peace." I believe this statement. Humans are inherently good. We are taught to be evil. We need to wake up and work together. We need to come inside in large groups and truly start to work on practical solutions. We are the human race. We are beautifully intelligent. Isn't it time we prove it? www.thrivemovement.com

So if they get pepper sprayed who is to blame? I vote the protestors as they have been asked to peaceably leave.

[-] 3 points by smith6john (34) 12 years ago

The police, since they are violating a constitutional right of WE THE PEOPLE to peacefully assemble.

[-] 2 points by ronjj (-241) 12 years ago

Why will no one answer a simple question. WHERE?

Where do we as American citizens have the right to peacefully assemble??

[-] 2 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

WHEREVER we damn well please. America is the peoples land. We can't walk up onto private property to occupy, but if its funded with public money or for public interests, its OURS to peacefully assemble.

[-] -1 points by ronjj (-241) 12 years ago

Let me see if I get this correct. We have several public open area picnic shelters here where I live. To use them, you have to reserve a place with parks and recreation so that everyone doesn't show up at the same time to use the same place. So far that works fine for us. Just how does that "WHEREVER we damn well please" mantra fit into our scheduling. Should I assume that if my family wants to have a getttogether and makes a reservation to do so, we are subject to your whims to peacefully assembly in our reserved spot

Our Civic Center, public money funded, works on the same principle. You reserve the time and space for your event, and you really don't have to worry that much about some idiot shouting "get out" because WE will peacefully assemble "WHEREEVER we damn well please".

As far as I am aware, this works for almost all of our public money funded spaces. The library, the aquatic center, the jail, the detention center, ectc

You might find that your "head" is too big to get in the door anyway and that some Americans consider YOU the "HumanTragedy" doing the speaking for everyone else.

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

why didnt the tea baggers get arrested? they did same thing (mass gatherings, yelling, taking to the streets, occupying city streets) except big oil paid for it.

A civic center is for events. Jails are mostly privately owned and operated, taking tax money to hold the "criminals". Public PLACES are venues for PUBLIC DISCUSSION. Its painful to watch all you tools of the state, who think its patriotic to give up your rights for "protection" from something mildly unpleasant.

Whats a "Free Society" if you have to go to a certain place at a certain time with LIKE MINDED PEOPLE to discuss your grievances? where is the change? who will hear your protestations except people who agree? You say they have the right to form their opinions, and speak their opinions, but they have to keep it to themselves, I.E. tell only like minded members. Preaching to the Choir doesn't win converts. Watching cops beat peaceful citizens does however.

Telling members of a free society where they can petition the government for a redress of grievances, and at what hours, and in what manner, seems to forget the whole Free part.

TRUE: Zuccotti Park is PRIVATELY OWNED, however, it was allocated for public use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The park managers had a deal with OWS, wherein they would keep the park clean and clear, in return, they got to set up camp.

I am not speaking for everyone (or anyone) else. I am speaking for me. If no one else wants to use their voice, that is their own fault. We are all individual Human Tragedies, and some of us just keep wallowing in it like a pig in mud. They close their eyes, mouth and mind and just walk away saying, "At least its not me." well, when your rights are assailed, and there is no one left to fight against it, remember you had the power to stop it in the beginning. You chose safety and comfort, which will be stripped in the end.

[-] 0 points by ronjj (-241) 12 years ago

The TEA BAGGERS did get arrested, their tents were taken away, the land was reclaimed for general public uses, their library was removed, they were fed and supported by their "big oil" supporters, they were forced to go home at night, not occupy, etc.

WOOPS - wrong group, sorry.

  1. What jails are you aware of that are privately owned and operated. Some prisons yes, not MOST.

  2. Ever consider the freedom that the rest of your countrymen have to NOT to have to hear your protestations, expecially when they come from our park.

  3. Watching cops beat peaceful citizens does not necessarily win converts. Sometimes, I would like to have the right to slug a Big Mouth idiot in the face too, I just try not to be around them. What is the point of 1,000 people getting together to open their mouths in chaotic protests shouting at the top of their lungs. This is usually referred to as a mob. One man speaking to one man or two or 1,000 in simple respect yet passionate appeal, will always be more effective than any mob yelling at the choir.

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

A protest is an expression of objection, by words or by actions, to particular events, policies or situations. Protests can take many different forms, from individual statements to mass demonstrations. - C&P from 1st line of wiki page

[-] 0 points by ronjj (-241) 12 years ago

to murder or kidnapping to seisure of property, or mass executions. So all you have to do is determine where to draw the line.

You can not simply put out a few "good facts" to support your position while totally ignoring the more extreme examples of the same thing.

I love rhubard. It makes excellent pies and jam. Throw the rhubarb leaves in there and you are dead.

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

Sure Rhubarb is awesome. dip it in sugar, and you have a sugar coated stick of awesome. what extreme examples am I ignoring? Are the extremists what make up the BULK Of the movement? Extremists make up the officers who violently beat an old woman, and a retired woman from the NY State Supreme Court (Justice Karen Smith).

The Tea Baggers threw a woman on the ground, and then stepped on her HEAD! because she was opposed to their Darling candidate. Not 1 OWS protester has been shown in the streets exercising their 2nd Amendment right, and they get beat down (presumably BECAUSE they don't have guns to defend themselves.) They are taking the Pacifist course of change. Ghandi did it, as did MLK2, and numerous other groups.

There were how many news articles about Tea Baggers taking money from big oil who already make the Gov'mnt policies? In contrast I keep hearing about how OWS is on the right path if they are provoking anger from Big Brother.

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

A mob is "any group or collection of people or things." Black Friday, Basketball games, concerts, museums, libraries, art galleries, all these things and more are mobs, as defined by Dictionary.com and Funk & Wagnell print version.

I love how you would solve a disagreement by "punching...in the face". Goes a long way to showing how right you are and that truth always wins a fist fight.

I remember the Tea Baggers with bullhorns SHOUTING, about how they were wronged because Obama is a black non-christian. I wouldn't have punched any of them in the face for being morons, I would have simply tried to educate them. Barring that, I shake my head and say, this is why freedom is great. You have the right to annoy me, and I have the right to walk away. Boo hoo, your in my public space, that is somehow MORE MINE, because you question the government, which in itself, is patriotic. Or would you just OPENLY turn the nation over to crooks and assholes who are in it for them and theirs?

No where in the constitution does it say you are granted ataraxis from idiots. You don't have to listen, you can close your mind and move away. The park is a public venue for public discussion. a mob of books can gather there as well as a mob of protesters. They haven't gotten violent, as some of the Black Friday "crowds" were getting.

Yeah, that was a semantic error on my part, there are 264 privately owned PRISONS in the US. 264 TOO MANY. Jails are more or less holding pens for the sheeple they bring in, not their new home for the next X years. I have heard reference to privately owned jails, however, I have yet to turn 1 up. you'll be the 2nd to know (behind me, of course.)

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

[-] 0 points by ronjj (-241) 12 years ago

The people of the original colonies in America DID NOT involve violence except as a last resort. A lot of discussing, planning, and consense discussions took part long before a shot was fired.

Violence was the last resort and it cost a lot of time and lives of those people to put that last resort into practice.

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

The people in Europe are involving violence RIGHT NOW, because of the banks and their governments fucking them over.

[-] 0 points by ronjj (-241) 12 years ago

And that is the initial reaction to their problems. They can dish out all the violence they want - it will not create a euro more in their country which is, in all aspects - bankrupt.
I would only question whether this was caused by their governments f------ them over or their dissatification that they may have to give a little if they want their government and country to continue to exist.

Ben Bernake gave away $16 trillion SECRETLY to world banks, and they are STILL Bankrupt? Sounds like a huge problem with the system if we have 400 billionaires in the country and our institutions give away tax payers money

400 billionaires in the country?? I can remember when the problem was 400 millionaires in the country.. And I was earning equivalent dollars in relationship to the 400m to 500b each time.

Thanks for having a discussion with me and we haven't let it devolve into name calling and finger pointing. That having been said, I am not trying to be a jerk, but it seems as though you come from an older generation, when hard word DID pay off, and peoples wages were roughly proportionate. I watched my dad work hard and get some good raises and promotions and the like, and he told me thats what it takes to get ahead.

Now you have to kiss ass, lie cheat and steal, and step on someone else's head to get where your going.

http://www.gsb.stanford.edu/news/research/compensation_daines_ceopay.shtml this is about the 400% pay increase that CEOs enjoyed since 1979

http://www.forbes.com/sites/traceygreenstein/2011/09/20/the-feds-16-trillion-bailouts-under-reported/ this is about the FIRST EVER Federal Reserve Audit.

We can't afford to go to college anymore, now its just to put you grossly in debt. Every year they increase tuition costs, food costs, housing cost, energy cost, but not the cost of hiring and keeping employees. My wages don't go up proportionally to cost. A lot of Universities are supporting $1 Million Salaries for their presidents. plus, shuttling their football team around and outfitting them with jerseys and equipment. I don't want my tuition funds going to pay for football and not my education.

Human

  1. You read way to much into my statements.. I did not say that I "would" merely that "I would like to have the right to" (First impulse thing, you know)

  2. Check Funk again. There should be an explanation in there somewhere that "mob" can be both a noun and a verb. So, therefore, it is still up to you to explain when a mob moves from a noun into a verb.

  3. So expect the Black Friday mobs to be shut down next year through one control of another - it WILL happen just like it happens all the time when we cross the line from noun to verb.

And I still ask you the question, if a mob of Christians or even Jews decided that that park would be a good place to assemble, open their library, build their residences and bring in their personal belongings, and erect places of worship, put up a big bell that rang for and hour or more at a time,, served three meals a day to their congregations, etc for a period of two months, would YOU be just as vocal in their behalf?? And would you welcome them to stay there indefinitely??

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

Whats wrong with feeding people? I used to eat at a homeless shelter EVERY DAY because my job wouldn't pay me enough to live. And I busted my ass. The only thing I didn't do was kiss ass. Never have, and I don't see my hard work pay off. I don't lie cheat or steal, so I would never fit on wall street or most of the business/financial sectors. And manual labor is reserved for the "minorities", low wages and all.

[-] 0 points by ronjj (-241) 12 years ago

I eat at the local Indian Center with my friends about once a week. I am not Indian. There is nothing wrong with feeding people, only when it becomes exclusive to the tent people having priority, exluding others etc.

This still have to be a balanced equasion to make any sense. If you busted your --- and don't see your hard work pay off, what were you expecting the pay off to be.

I have busted mine off for 46 years and continue to do so. I can also say that I don't see my hard work pay off, if what I was expecting was the same thing that the 1% has going for itself. I do not live in a mansion, drive a new car (6yrs old), have a diamond ring, etc, but my work HAS paid off.

I have the freedom to serve others, to give to various organizations: church, SArmy, to treat my employees very well, etc etc etc. What do you see as your pay off??

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

I was raised thinking that if you work hard, use your smarts, you will get ahead in life. You get the raise, and the promotion. You make your way up the ladder and off the bottom rung.

Instead, my "pay off" has been: Eating at the homeless shelter because I can't afford food. being broke every day because I needed a place to live which takes all my money. I have found its not so much about hard ETHICAL work, its more, how can I skirt the law, while still looking like a good guy? How much ass do I have to kiss before they let me get a taste of some honey?

Very few people (if any) get obscenely rich "Doing the right thing".

and out of pure curiousity: Indian as in east indian or Native American Indian???

[-] 0 points by ronjj (-241) 12 years ago

Native American - they simply call it the Indian Center - they know what country it is in already.

I really would like to know more about your situation, it could give me more insight into what you are explaining and probably keep me from posting any really stupid personal comments on here. I know, this is not the place to put it all out before the world. Message??

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

What are they protesting? Or are they just pushing their religion? If they are protesting for a redress, I would love them to stay for 100 years if thats what it takes. Separation of church and state, you know?

Religion is not a public discussion. Its a discussion one man has with himself.

Where in the Constitution does it say we are not allowed to mob? Just because its noisy, doesn't mean it isn't peaceful. Do you really believe the founding fathers wanted us to have a quiet discussion in the streets if we are angry? What are town halls for, if not QUIET discussion? Were civil rights won in the '60s from being quiet? Nope. Lots of noise.

Its only recently that cities have been trying to make it illegal to be homeless. Before, you could build your damn shanty and have a (shitty) place to find reprieve. Tent Cities are now becoming illegal because it shows of the underbelly.

  1. How about we say they are protesting the fact that land in the area is being sold by the square foot and they cannot afford any land within 50 miles of where they live on which to build their buildings.

  2. But what is the difference in the needs of a religion and a non-religion.

  3. If you are speaking in the verb tense-the word "peacefully" comes to mind in relation to where it in the Consititution.

  4. I have a splitting headache here in my home, I have to go to work in four hours and I can't quite relate your terms "noisy" and "peaceful" in the same sentence when noisy is right outside my bedroom window.

  5. IMO - civil rights were won in the 1960's after all the noise and fighting quieted down and sanity took over.

  6. I do not know what city you live in so I cannot quote any specific laws regarding where you could or could not build your shanty. Out here in the West, even with all of our open spaces and open public lands, building your shanty anywhere you like is not really an option. We have things like grazing rights, land ownership rights, public land usage laws, where you can and cannot camp, etc. You might find that tent cities became illegal in most circumstances long, long ago. You might even find your answer in a documentary about How the West Was Won, the OK Land Rush or any of a lot more interesting things than another http: reference.

1: Is the government favoring one group to buy the land over another? or is it an issue of Capitalism, Free Markets and everyone's favorite, Supply & Demand?

2: The 1st amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion

3: I don't follow 100%, could you clarify?

4: I used to live across the street from where trains were coupled. I assure you there are few sounds louder than train cars mating. Is the din outside your house knocking pictures off the wall? It was noisy in my apartment, but there was no violence, nor threats of.

5: Its not really a matter of opinion. It was won during increasing instances of Civil Disobedience.

6: HTTP is easier to reference and give sources, i can post links, where as I may never find How the West Was Won, and it may be slanted. HTTP provides both sides of the story to come out. I live in Montana. It doesn't matter WHEN they were outlawed, it only matters that they were. However, that hasn't stopped many from cropping up. And more will follow after TARP. Portland has a community of transients endorsed by the City brass. They have some simple rules, and its been in operation for some time. Why is it illegal to be homeless?

[-] 0 points by ronjj (-241) 12 years ago
  1. No they got there first. The Catholics took the park down the street.
  2. Perfect reply. So you are saying that no law can be made to prevent them, as long as every other religious group has equal opportunity, from being removed from the park. They could stay as long as they wanted, establish their religion, even build permanent structures and no one, or nothing could stop them. Is this correct??
  3. The clarification is this - You asked where in the Constitution does it say that you do NOT have the right to "mob", I simply tied this to one word in the Constitution - "peacefully"
  4. We are not laying a lot of track in the USA these days. Who was there first, the railroad or your apartment?? 05.Not the way I saw it, but will grant you that one.
  5. IT is not, and I did not say that it was "illegal to be homeless". I have no problem with anyone being homeless legally, I do have problems with people being homeless illegally. More power to Portland in making the homelessness legal.

Bill of Rights, Amendment I reads:

" Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. "

The statements reads "right of the people peaceably to assemble". Now this statement is kinda out of context. If you dont sound bite it, It actually says the government will not pass a law that prevents the right of peaceably to assemble. Not that we have that right.

Now, if you are violating someones property, ie camping out on it, your are at that point not peaceful. The underlining idea is that the people have a "right" to assemble, which they do, but that right does not give them the right to assemble on other peoples property. Now, I would love to support OWS more, but I do not feel that violating other peoples rights is a way to start a "movement".

[-] 1 points by theCheat (85) 12 years ago

with your logic I would assume you would feel it within your 1st amendment rights to occupy a runway at Kennedy.

[-] 1 points by smith6john (34) 12 years ago

Yes and shut the airport down if a constitutional right is being violated

[-] 1 points by metapolitik (1110) 12 years ago

Only if you are:

  • A striking or out-of-work airline pilot

  • A striking or out-of-work flight attendant

  • Some other striking or out-of-work airline employee

In which case:

Yes!

Sit on that runway.

Or maybe if you are suicidal??

[-] 1 points by theCheat (85) 12 years ago

that does not make it a right.

If you want to convince anyone that non-violent protest is somehow 'wrong', 'unethical' or 'immoral'...

You'll have to do a lot me than just say it.

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

Get your truncheon, and align it parallel with the offenders cranium. That is how you convince the world that Non-violent protest IS wrong and Immoral.

The "occupy" movement should be protesting in Washington D.C. This is a civil movement against our government cronies. The occupy movements taking place in city locales only creates a problem for local municipalities. The federal government is not affected. If the protests are against the banks, people should simply take their money out and not use them.

Well, it is big business that control government ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN2Q6sdh6Bg ), so I think It´s correct to first and foremost focus on private tyrannies

Cool, watching the stream starts with a bank commercial.

Nicely hypocritical....... i'm stopping my support immediately.

They can't control the ads.

[-] 0 points by ramous (765) from Wabash, IN 12 years ago

Surely, there's not enough server space to host their own videos? Someone with enough software savvy? Its lazy, is what it is.

[-] 1 points by HumanTragedy (29) 12 years ago

do you believe that OWS supporters choose their ads? what other site lets you stream live footage from your phone?

[+] -4 points by Adam (116) 12 years ago

Why is there a commercial attached to the feed here? Can you say capitalist scam? Can you say "Herding innocent victims into jail under the guise of a movement of some kind?" Defend yourselves. There is no movement, no solidarity, only dishonest americans. You are alone. There are 400,000,000 of us crawling around scamming each other. This is a scam to get you in the system.

[-] 1 points by hmmm (52) 12 years ago

OMG you're right! I just bought a whole bunch of stamps and envelopes from UPS because of that ad. OWS, HOW COULD YOU?!

Just kidding. Learn how the internet works, guys. And instead of saying "well why don't they host the videos themselves", why don't you get up and provide that service? OWS isn't a bunch of people who run the website; it's all of us.

[-] 1 points by Adam (116) 12 years ago

I can make no sense of of your post. I don't get the joke about UPS. If I were not disabled, I surely would have fallen for this pathetic scam and gotten arrested with the rest of the people who care but have no clue what to do. If I could walk around without pain, I would gladly stream for free. We do not need this capitalist movement pretending to care. We already have a ton of false charities.

Excellent way to start the video by a 30 second commercial! Way to fight the power and not bow down to the man....Congratulations on selling out. I'm sure what few supporters you have will be very happy to see this.

[-] 1 points by smith6john (34) 12 years ago

They cant control the commercials on ustreem, you retards. Besides the supporters have gone global.
