This is my 1st post. I work for a regular old Fortune 100 company, but have bee appalled over the years at the jobs that have been sent overseas, the layoffs, non-existent pay raises, rising medical costs. OWS NEEDS CLOUT to overcome the status quo, otherwise it will just continue on as a powerless protest. How to put the robber barons out of business? COOPERATION. Today, there is already an alternative to the banks - Credit Unions. The Credit Unions are cooperatives in reality, without a greedy CEO or board or executives drawing astronomical salaries, shipping jobs overseas, the whole nine yards. Guys, start building cooperatives for EVERYTHING. Education would be a good place to start. Universities that are run like cooperatives. Yes, there would be professors that draw a salary. But that's it. Management of the cooperative University becomes part of the professor's jobs. It is shared amongst them. There is no CEO or board of executives drawing ridiculous salaries. Its doable. Start remaking the world. I wish the movement success!

To get power, OWS needs to be able to cripple the corporations, present a real threat. The best way? Boycotts. Campaign for a boycott against the banks. Encourage people to join Credit Unions. Find out what it takes to start a Credit Union, and start your own.

If our numbers get big enough we could all boycott one product or service and put any company out of business. Now who has power. We could let the company know in advance they are on the list being targeted. They can know the same squirm I feel every quarter when the corporate layoffs happen. It just might give them an incentive to make the changes. Just say the word Occupy just say the word.
