As one of the 500 or so "privately owned public spaces" in NYC, Trump's gilded nightmare enclosed consumer food court would be a prime spot for a small targeted demonstration. Trump's goons are notorious for preventing any forms of expression in their space--try to even having a tape recorder or take out a camera and they will stop you. The great thing about having a reasonable presence there is that we are completely complying with the letter of the law--which is "reasonable conduct" appropriate for public spaces anywhere in New York.
So I am looking for volunteers--preferably seasoned activists--to work with me on this. We have a high probability of getting arrested if we display a sign and pass out leaflets to tourists and refuse to move. This isn't even civil disobedience since we won't be breaking any laws.
Please contact me if you're interested. The thing is--we have to move fast. Already the city is engaged in rewriting our right to use these public city spaces as have been protected by the city for the past 40 years or so, because of the inconvenience caused to spaces which are customarily only used for "passive recreation" instead of healthy democracy!
