Forum Post: ‘Occupy’ Protesters Listed As Terrorists in same context as Al-Qaeda, Colombian FARC

Occupy London demonstrators have been listed as domestic terrorists by the City of London Police, who characterized them in the same context as Al-Qaeda, the Colombian FARC and Belarusian terrorists who bombed the Minsk underground.

‘Occupy’ Portland staged a march yesterday to protest the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act, which under Section 1031 could lead to demonstrators being carted off to detention camps and held without trial.

The Department of Defense is now training its personnel that exercising the First Amendment amounts to “low-level terrorism”. Whether you agree with the grievances of the ‘Occupy’ movement or not, the fact that protest groups are now being designated as domestic terrorists underscores the fact that governments now treat dissent and the exercise of freedoms as a suspicious activity.

Yet weren’t we told the terrorists attacked us because they hate our freedoms? It appears as if the terrorists have won.

The terrorists won when we abandoned our own rule of law in dealing with them; the terrorists won when we attacked Iraq without good reason. They will continue to win as long as we continue to violate our own principles. Now, with a law in the works that would allow protesters to be held indefinitely as "terrorists" or their sympathizers, they will win yet again.

Thanks.

But I was just quoting the Alex Jones website (words written by British citizen Paul Joseph Watson).

Once the ows take over, what will their definition of 'terrorists' be? Will others be able to peaceably 'protest'? I really doubt it.

Outstanding point. While I don't agree with what the present government is doing I doubt an OWS type government would be any better. Just look at their calling anyone that doesn't agree with them a troll. They are only truly tolerant if you agree with them. Typical of liberals.

They already try to silence people from wearing Ron Paul shirts.

That is why we must always use non violent resistance. we all have video phones, to show the world, how the police are using violence and arresting peaceful protesters that only want to be free. training web page http://tinyurl.com/7rvpv43

It's so sad that our governments are taking said actions. People might not agree with what we are trying to do, which is fine, but it doesn't mean we are terrorists. We aren't trying to kill anyone, we aren't trying to blow ourselves up. Some might argue that we're trying to cripple our economy, which isn't true. We are trying to find solutions to fix it. Our economy is already crippled. Our leaders saw to that.
