Forum Post: Occupy lasting through the winter? Ideas?

Mother of 2 here watching protesters begining to get mighty cold. Most mainstream media & gov. waiting for true winter weather to set in & occupy to dispurse. Please occupy lets not let that happen! Although myself and many like me are unable to physically protest, we are with you in mind and spirit! With that I have a few ideas to possibly help the occuppy movement last through the winter and not be a passing craze.1) Create a donation site with the specific agenda of helping all occupy movements last through the winter.$1 a month donation min. going to specific causes. Such as warmth(i.e. tents, heat,& blankets), food & warm beverages, & portable bathroom up keep. Visually show the donater each month which division of the cause they're $ went towards.2) More bodies in one place together equals more warmth! With the money raised for heat, tents and blankets by the donation site each occupy movement shuold acquire massive tents (like the ones used at the Kentucky Derby) to house all of the smaller tents!!! Inside this semi indoor tent city as many propane outdoor heat lamps as possible can be set up to help generate more heat. Those are a couple of ideas I felt like might plant a seed & help the movement. As I stated although I am not physically in the N.Y. occupy movement my mind and my spirit are with all of you living out in the cold and standing up for me, my children and my childrens children. And I would gladly donate time & money to a legitamate organization supporting your voices through the cold winter.Thanks and just wanted to add since this movement began I am finally becoming proud to be an american & so very happy to see this countries people finally waking up & moving towards a true country for the people by the people!
