"The air went out of the balloon?" Exponentially growing quickly, and then all shut down within a month. Sounds about right.

Comparing activism to entertainment is always a sobering statement for activists. Providing the platform for activism is something that needs to be seriously discussed by everyone in this country at this point. You're totally right that if its going to work, its got to be something that is exciting.

The million dollar question is what is it?

The internet is an interesting thing to consider when talking about activism going forward. No doubt the internet is under attack, and the ones that created it have had it for decades. A dance it certainly is.

A reality where you allow political innovation? Tolerance is something we have been trained to not accept when it comes to politics. On any political forum on any given day you can see people going nuts. It's akin to people fighting each other at a football game like a couple of Neanderthals and after the game both teams go out to dinner with each other.

An entire different spectrum of self governance where all ideas are discussed, participation is fun and meaningful, and the people ultimately make the decisions.

Sounds like a strong case for decentralization?
