Here's a very eye-opening article from The Guardian on how and why the Occupy movements are being evicted. Of course it turns out our corrupt government sent out the orders.
The Department of Homeland Security is part of the executive branch. (In other words it is is controlled by the Presidency). With more than 200,000 employees, DHS is the third largest Cabinet department, after the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Wow! Almost as many people as the Department of Defense to keep us all safe from....or to make the US a police state.
