Shutting down ports hurts the very people you say you represent, the average American. What started out as a movement is beginning to anger many of us. Your message doesn't even make sense anymore and you don't even know who you are hurting. Making the news seems to be your only objective these days.
I dont think OWS cares. The only thing important to OWS seems to be to draw media attention to them so they can raise money via donations for their own bank accounts
When did OWS ever make sense to you and how and when did it change? I'm asking because I suspect that our movement never made sense to you and you have never been a supporter, much less an OWS activist, so what you think makes little difference as you didn't like us on September 17 and you still don't. If I am wrong and there has been a change in your position based on a change in OWS tactics an strategy I would sincerely like to know when you think that change took place so that we can seriously evaluate how we might alter tactics and strategy to win more people over and what exactly those changes in tactics and strategy might be.
I am all for protests but I think OWS is directing it's anger at the wrong place. Washington D.C. should be the target! The government has manipulated the group into taking it's anger out on large corporations and taking the focus off of the very government that allows these corporations to operate in the manner they do. For example, corporations do pay the highest in the world (35%) yet General Electric paid no fed taxes in 2010 even with billions in profit. Why? Because overseas profits provide tax loopholes and it is legal. The real criminals here are not wall street and big corporations but the self serving hypocrites in Washington that PERMIT the very actions they say they deplore. Obama was smart though, he fiqured if he could start the class war-fare train that many would jump aboard and unwittingly did. I think if you directed your energy and anger at the more obvious corrupt government you would have much more support....including me.
Honestly, OWS is becoming more of a joke every day.
