Forum Post: Obama the destroyer

Why would Obama take 500 billion away from an already crumbling Medicare plan, over 10 years? The payroll tax holiday extension that will keep roughly 1000 dollars more in an average earners pocket in 2012 comes at the expense of the so called social security trust fund.(You know the one with the lock box on it) How will this move effect the future of a system that has been raided for decades? My guess is a lot of workers paying in now, will not see a dime when retirement comes. This seems like a real act of fraud perpetrated on a largely unknowing public.
