HELP STOP GREEDY DEVELOPERS FROM TARGETING LOW INCOME SRO BUILDINGS TO CONVERT INTO PROFIT!
Developers are using a loophole in the rent stabilization law to convert low income SRO buildings into profit - evicting all the tenants in the process.
IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED!
There is currently a BILL on the table by Senator Daniel Squadron that will stop this loophole (Bill S2642-2009). The bill is being held up by HOUSING CONSTRUCTION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
I need your help and support to draw attention to this issue and force the senate to pass this bill immediately!
Please contact HOUSING CONSTRUCTION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT and ask them why they haven't passed this bill yet.
