The NYC law firm, Steven J Baum threw a Halloween party where all staff, associates and partners were dressed as the homeless. A party that celebrates their victories in foreclosures, and the on-going plight of the homeless. Click the link to the NY times for more:

If people are protesting peacefully and all anyone can manage to do is insult their situation and their character, people will and are going to get violent. Does no one see this happening? Why can't anyone be gracious and sympathetic when it comes to the occupiers? It's about being understood. That's all anyone wants.

I never give money to homeless people. I can't reward failure in good conscience.
