Why would they put that bumbling idiot in there, Mittens?
They already have their perfect guy!!
So what will happen first come the 1st? Will it be:
- an extension of the Bush cuts?
- an attack on Syria?
- a debt deal that doesnt bother to touch defense (assuming he bows down to the MIC with the sequestration cuts from last year)...
Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Uganda, Somolia and Libya were really hoping the American people would have shaken things up a bit. Instead its all the same players as it was 12 years ago. A few old faces left, a few new ones showed up. But basically still the same club.
Another pathetic job by the American people as usual. Is it because we, the people, didnt mobilize to get more exposure for better options? Or is there simply no will on the people's part to get involved?
We the People have spoken!!!
Go to hell RepubliCons!!!
Don't get me wrong. Obama deserved to lose. Lose to an idiot like Romney? No. This is nothing more than a beauty pagent, a popularity contest.
4 Main Areas of Policy: Foreign, Tax, Trade and Monetary.
We are still bombing people all over. Iraq no longer has US troops there, at least not a lot. And there are still mercenaries there, thousands of them. We are still bombing countries left and right. No change there.
Nothing has been done with our tax code, except an extension of the Bush cuts. Nothing there to brag about.
He signed 3 MORE freetrade agreements, instead of addressing our current issues from GATT and NAFTA. No change.
The Fed has printed over 2 TRILLION dollars and literally handed it to the banks. No leadership from Obama on that, so nothing has chnaged with our monetary policy.
LIBOR and MF Global show that the 1% is still allowed to play by a different set of rules than the rest of us. No change in justice.
The most dissapointing aspect of this all isnt that nothing has changed. I could deal with that if it seemed like Congress and the POTUS was busting their asses to get this stuff done.
But there is nothing. No action. No noise. No energy. Nothing.
No leadership whatsoever.
Buckle up. Your government is incapable of saving you from the forces that be.
You are right and to sum it up, no matter who would have won, all us us are the real losers
Very sadly true.
Romney was a poor pick; Ryan's fiscal stance was frightening to many; the conservative religious right introduced issues - abortion and rape as legitimate baby making - that should not have been present in this election cycle. Wisconsin cost union voters. True Obama propped up the banks and Wall Street but otherwise he's been a disaster for everyone but the illegals who cannot vote. So I don't know; I think Repubs are very out of touch. And quite frankly, so are the Dems. This is a nation that is bankrupt, though, so I think the animosity will just continue to grow.
Honestly, when looking at it on a scale of what happens to other nations that are on this course, it doesnt look too good.
A mass awakening of the mind is what we need. Occupy the Mind.
We need more than that; we need an entirely new governmental structure - our democracy could be greatly improved. And I don't mean this in any radical, on non-American, form.
2014 sounds like a perfect time to go to Iran.
For an extended vacation, in one of the best countries for travel, seeing architecture from pre-Roman dayz. Enjoy.
