I wrote an article on my blog that I thought would add to the conversation; it helps, in my mind at least, to clarify a core issue of the protest. It's too long to cut & paste here, so I put the link below - give a read and see what you think:

Good points. 'corporations are people' is universally recognized as BS among every occupier I've talked to. It should be among the first things this movement seeks to change imo.
those that work for corporations are people
Yes and they are 99%'ers too.
Of course. But do you believe the corporation itself is a person? Should it have all the rights of a person (with none of the moral/ethical responsibilities we expect of a person)?
I do not and there the corporation has no right to privacy
Agreed, and I particularly like the statement -- the law needs to address this size inequity between humans and corporations by squeezing Goliath’s power down to David’s level -- so perhaps you would consider our group's proposal of an alternative online direct democracy of government and business at http://getsatisfaction.com/americanselect/topics/on_strategically_weighted_policies_organizational_operating_structures_tactical_investment_procedures-448eo , hit the facebook “like” button if agreed, and then join our group's 20 members committed to that plan at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrategicInternationalSystems/
Help me out here. Is that the prozac talking, or are you talking to the prozac?
