For not being a political institution Occupy Wallstreet matches this definition perfectly
Organizations such as Congress, the presidency, and the court system that play a significant role in the making, carrying out, and enforcing laws and managing conflicts about them are called political institutions.
But not political in the sense that politicians and government pander to big money and not the people. Nevermind that, though?
Right they are behind the curtains!
They also fit the definition of those evil lobbyists they are trying to warn us about.
:to conduct activities aimed at influencing public officials and especially members of a legislative body on legislation
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/lobbyist
Lobby, rally, protest and activists mean the same___all have some type of alterior motive and stand back and insight others to do their bidding and divide! Someone funds this divide! Who is it??
Lobbyists use money to buy legislation. Is that what OWS is doing? We fit the definition of people who want to be represented by their wayward government, of people that exercise their constitutional rights by LOBBYING the government WITH FREE SPEECH to effect change. Kinda what our country is all about.
and this was worth a whole thread of adding to the scrawl?
Was yours????
nope.
I dis-agree! All is worth little threads!
chaos is not bliss.
