I HAVE THE ANSWER TO OCCUPY WALL STREET:.. Pick 5 stocks from the NYSE, and organise a nationwide boycott of their product. REPEAT AS OFTEN AS NECCESSARY!
It would work fast - it could be done if the Unions and big Pension funds work together. A new kind of democracy - Non-Violent ACTION that would make lobbyists 100% ineffective. The OWNERS of those five corporations would get Wall Street and D.C. to JUMP.
AFL-CIO has contact information for all unions. CALPERS public employees pension fund alone controls $30 billion in investments.
Not every demand - the 3 biggies are Create and enforce regulations on Wall Street; Reform tax code fairly; and Get an amendment to revoke Corporate Personhood on the ballot (e.g. campaign finance reform). Any questions - ask Elizabeth Warren
WALL MART, MCDONALDS, EXXON, BofA, JPMORGAN - there's my five - I've been boycotting them for years. A word of caution on wishing for more wall st regulation - it makes a higher barrier to entry because it's very expensive to administer financial regulations - passing on the costs to YOU!
