Forum Post: Need signatures for wethepeople petition for mandatory congress term limits

Hey, I'm running around the internet trying to get up 25,000 signatures on wethepeople.gov - if we accomplish this the white hosue will respond to the issue that gathered the signatures. My petition is for mandatory term limits for congress. As you all know, lobbyists run this country, and the longer a person stays in our government, the more of these relationships they gather.

Eventually we as a people should unite and make congress similar to jury duty. People shouldn't want it as a career because they are motivated by greed and selfish desires. There are almost no honorable people running for important positions in our government, and they few honest ones that do don't stand a chance - usually out-bid by their opponent who doesn't have as many, if any, scruples.

I doubt this first petition will get anything done but if we can get enough steam rolling it's a good step in the right direction, and it's all about the little victories.

This petition won't show up on the we the people site until it gathers 150 signatures which I somehow have to hustle up, so please help me out!
