Who's in? We need to spread the word. If we all show up in the same place at the same time, we can have over a million people demonstrating in the National Mall. Then we can demand an end to corporate personhood and legalized bribery and corruption.

Actually, May 1st would be a better day, it is called May Day or Worker's Day all over the world. It is celebrated throughout the world as a day of recognition to workers and their contribution to society. It is World Wide Workers Day and workers will march on Washington! Goverment Workers, Union Workers, Firefighters, Policemen, Armed Forces Workers, Factory Workers, Service Workers, Employed as well as the unemployed together with people from all walks of life. We need to start in the state level in all fifty states and get hundreds of thousands to march on their state capitols to demand an end to local and state greed and corruption. Then at the end of April, begin caravans from all fifty states to march on Washington D.C.to get there on May 1st and march by the millions to demand an end to greed and corruption by our Congressmen, Wall Street, the Banks and Corporations. We also need to demand that a 28th Constitutional Amendment be put into the ballot on November 2012 elections to repeal 08-205 59 to abolish corporate personhood and reinstate corporate charters. The founding fathers did not intend to give corporations "personhood" so they could donate unlimited amount of money to fund candidates running for political office. We also need to reinstate the Glass Steagall Act to protect bank depositors from the banks using depositors money in risky activities, like issuance of securities and speculative transactions. To repeal the Gramm-Leach-Bliley law passed in 1999, so that the stockholders in these speculative transactions be the one's responsible for these activities and not the taxpayers. We need to start now in order to get organize for warmer weather and the Spring Marches to all fifty state capitols and then to Washington D.C. on May 01st.

This is completely the wrong place to mobilize! We need to have the first national mobilization be in CHICAGO from May 15-22 for the G8/NATO summits.

A protest in DC will fade away, and it is completely IDIOTIC to do it during the school semester.

Actually, you guys will perhaps get a million in the National Mall, then you will fade away. It will be a good stunt. Nothing more. It will just be a drain on municipal resources. Forget about it! Work locally and try to fix it from the bottom up.

Well, who said anything about leaving? I want to shutdown the capital with a million occupiers, who will refuse to leave until this injustice is fixed.

It won't be fixed by occupiers. More likely there will ultimately be a crackdown to clean up the plaza, then you will, once again, get back home and fix the problem from the ground up. If Washington has no clue how to fix things, then it is up to people not from Washington to come up with ideas, try them out at home, work out kinks and move up the chain

The point is we need to be so big and disruptive that the national media has to pay attention to us and we can spread more awareness of the issues and demands we are making.

Well you see how well the big disruptive west coast port action was today. Does that give you a hint as to how your suggestion is likely to play out? But their is a way to achieve what you are looking for.
