To echo on what Oakland is doing I think that a nationwide strike in which people skipped work, school, or whatever and went out into their communities and helped those in need would be an amazing statement to all watching around the world. Imagine having thousands meeting in squares and parks around the nation and then moving into the communities and doing things like yard-work for the elderly, doing home improvements for families in poverty stricken neighborhoods, cleaning trash from public places and countless other things that can be done to improve our communities.

How could their be any negative press or police push back. And imagine just how many groups could get behind this- Churches, Community Groups, Families and even Small Businesses.

What an amazing way for OWS to build a solid foundation for it's message. We would be going out an making a difference in the lives of those that need help and showing that we can make a positive difference. We would be doing the opposite of what we accuse big banks and corporations of doing. How better to fight fire that with...Water.
