Police brutality often goes with minimal or no jail time.

Judges have given harsher prison sentences for bribe money from private prisons.

I honestly don't see where any of it matters. The fault lies with a people that have allowed themselves to be led by sound bites and half truths. Few take the time to look into things, most simply don't care. I recall Ben Franklin's words about what sort of government we were given, "a Republic madam, if you can keep it". We as a people have turned our backs on our role in keeping it.
