Forum Post: my plan

these are the plans ive been hearing from the ows

1. an organized run on the banks where everyone takes their money out and finds some way to administer that money for the good of all

2. block off our ports on the west coast to "call attention to" whatever.

3. hold a counter-convention next summer and continue to heckle obama whereever he goes.

i think this is all, for lack of a better word, stupid. first of all, the only people who would be hurt by these things would be the american consumer...etc etc etc...you know what im talking about. it seems like whoever is loudest, most outrageous, and most obnoxious will wind up steering the ows from here.

republicans ARE being elected in the districts around where i live, so my own town IS in play and an effort should be made here....however, ironically, i would argue that more can actually be accomplished on the internet for 2012 than in person. i think an organized effort to go to non-political local message boards andblogs in the swing states: colorado, penn, virg, minn, florida....and simply suggesting, as obama is doing RIGHT NOW, that we follow the money, identify the richest 1 percent and TAX THEM. collect support for that online and organize those "signatures" into a "tax the rich more bill." after all, as always, its really those swing states where the election wil be won or lost, not ny.

this is my plan. so far, ive been doing quite a bit of one-on-one with coloradans etc. i try to post or chat in every swing state(ive made a list of 10) every day. it's nice when you can "individualize" your conversations/posts, but i do wind up doing a lot of cutting and pasting. the whole thing takes me 1 to 2 hours a day.
