  1. Reinstate the Glass-Steagall act.

  2. Enact a constitutional amendment stating that corporations are not people, and do not have constitutional rights

  3. Prosecute the criminals who caused the collapse of 2008 through fraud and other illegal means. This would also include legislation and regulations preventing the SEC from being made up of industry lawyers, as well as its current policy of letting banks police themselves.

  4. Raise income and capitol gains taxes. All Capitol gains taxes will be taxed at the same rate as income. People earning over $200K a year will have a top marginal rate of 40%, and all income over $5M will be taxed at a marginal rate of 50%

  5. Add a 0.01% monetary-value tax to all securities, stock, and commodities trades.

  6. Most importantly: Publically fund all elections. No private money allowed. If we have to enact a constitutional amendment to do this, so be it. Politicians are bought and payed-for. This is the only way to insure any kind of return to Democracy.

  7. Lower corporate taxes to a competitive rate, like 12.5% so that corporations will return home and pay their taxes to us.

I think that these are focused and possible demands. Other great demands are out there, but I feel we must stay focused on getting our country back to Democracy with realistic demands that the majority of Americans can get behind. After that we can work on peace and justice!

I fully support this.

Also remember anyone bitching about income tax levels. You do not make 5 million dollars a year. If you do, you'll still have a fuck ton of money. You'll be fine. You're not creating jobs so stop telling people you are job creators. If you're creating jobs in America we wouldn't be seeing such a rising level of unemployment and you wouldn't be laying people off all the time to profit more money.
