Move your retirement money (if you have it) and your children's college funds (likewise) to socially-conscious equity or bond funds. I have most of mine with Domini, which does as well as anything else but also screens for labor practices, etc. I'm sure even their system could be improved, but they are better than most investment firms which look solely for profit. Your money may be going to some very unsavory things. Move it! Keep the pressure on.
That sounds a lot like how the free market is supposed to work. You just have to keep the government from giving them the money anyway.
yeah that government thing is a big problem
