If you think that is bad, check out what Monsanto does to farmers with their seed products. Forces them to buy GMO strains, only good for one harvest, does not produce viable seed itself. And ones that do produce seed, the farmers are not allowed to collect the seed for planting the next season. If they do they are sued into non-existence by Monsanto and the kangaroo court system.

Corn isn't the only "seed" controlled by monsanto, and I do know that corn is a hybrid that would not exist without human intervention. Monsanto will sue if you use competitors seed in adjacent lands to prevent cross pollination of their products. They dictate what you can use. Go ahead and try something else and see where you get. There was a elderly man that collected "independent" seed from non-Monsanto fields for independent farmers to replant. Monsanto put him out of business. He was a one man operation, and his equipment was antique, but he was seen as a threat.

Nationalize Monsanto, break it up, and then put the patents in the garbage disposal where they belong. Intellectual property is nice, but patent and intellectual property law is becoming more and more of an excuse to choke off competition and attack the rights of ordinary people

thats because monsanto is protected by govt regulation written in their favor. Crony capitalism defined

yeah, I know. I mentioned the kangaroo court. We need to get the "money" out of Washington, All the favoritism goes to the highest bidders in this government auction.

if the constitution had a rel say, monsanto would be sued and made to pay damages for what they are doing to other people right's.

Good post! Monsanto and every corporate schmuck that works there should go to JAIL! This is classic corporate unconscionable conduct. And yet, the A-holes they fundraise for will smooth this out to a slap on the wrist.

Agricultural products are the only things that this country now exports in any quantity. The biggest competitor to MONsanto is China - they are spending billions on GM research stealing MON technology and using it - less sales of grain from Us farmers mean less wealth for all americans

if you idiots had any idea what you are talking about you would know that corn is hybrid -for the last 100years farmers have not been planting back - for so they can plant back but not patented seed - so they could buy the cheaper non GM seed and plant back but they don't because they are aren't as pod after they are planted back. So get a fxxxing education before you post nonsense
