Forum Post: Misplaced effort, blame your representatives

Why is OWS protesting Wall street? If everyone was protesting their state/local government representatives, this whole thing would be way more effective. Marching around and protesting against greed is naive and will not achieve your goals. In the end, it just becomes a way for people to vent their frustrations (any and all), so that's what we're seeing in the US and other countries.
My suggestion, keep it simple, sit on the front lawns of your state/local representatives, write thousands of letters, make petitions, stay non-violent, and I think some good may actually be able to come from all this. Otherwise I think it will just become more of a mess and nothing good will happen.
