Great read. Hopefully everyone checks it out. One thing I realized very quickly in dental school is that patients evaluate doctors based almost entirely on their chairside manner and personality and not on actual outcomes (obviously a good combination of both is ideal) and because of that, folks like Dr. Hodad are far too common in medicine today.
Unfortunately though, in such a litigation happy society, it is hard for people to speak out against their colleagues. I rarely tell people that their past dental work was sloppy. I typically will say it in a "I would have done it like this" way. Trust me, I would love to tell them their old dentist is a quack but the last place I want to end up is in a courtroom, whether it is as a witness or as a defendant.

Yes it is sad and totally shocking what is allowed to continue in places that are supposed to be about health and healing. Yes - government and WallStreet are not the only places of no responsibility or accountability. Big Binness practices suck - and the fact that they are not held to quality standards of excellence and continuous process improvement is in a word - INSANE.

Agree. Problem with frack (& other issues) always comes back to getting around the MSM misinformation and blackout.
And there are supposed to be laws still on the books that would kick their asses - if - we could find someone willing to prosecute and a judge willing to listen and then present a ruling that would coincide with - wait for it - the LAW.
The tools are there (law), but with the 'Corporate War Of Agression' , justice is being limited.
You know what the remedy is? Competition. When there is competition, it forces people to practice honestly, with quality, or they make less and less money. Accountability? The only accountability is risk and reward.
