since the occupy movement only gets a little bit of coverage from the media, is there any way we could possibly take matters into our own hands and occupy a television station, radio station, or Newspaper?

has any of this been done already? does this seem too violent?

[I mean, the good folks down in Oakland are Occupying the ports, so I think it wouldn't be too crazy to take down the people who are propagating nonsense]

I'm just saying, it would be interesting to see Occupiers rush in and highjack Fox News Network, and actually start broadcasting news, instead of bullshit, but that's just my opinion, I just wanted to see what people's thoughts were, on the subject.

I believe that because the Occupy Movement is so spread, and we cant elect a leader because of what we strive to do as a collective conscious, we need to make strategic moves towards broadening that collective conscious. There are still tons and tons of people who don't even know that we are protesting around the globe. I know things are crazy on the ground, but back in the real world, if you ask someone about Occupy Wall St. chances are, they won't know what you're talking about.

It is my contention as part of the 99%, that greater efforts be put into forcibly aquiring media powers that are not part of the interwebs. [ I have not been able to protest on the ground like everyone else, so consider my perspective]

I know we're supposed to be non-violent, I don't want anyone to get hurt, and I don't think we need to hurt any person to do so either.

let me know what you think.

[and for some reason, people on forums like to feel self righteous, or put others down because they don't like other people's thoughts/posts...so If you're going to do that, then don't bother posting, because i'm just trying to collect information on what people here think, I'm usually down for flame wars, but not today]

Give the media something big to talk about and you won't have to bother with the street level jazz. How about GA's endorsing the 99% Declaration call for a National General Assembly? Each local GA makes its wishes known to the NYCGA, then what option would NYC have? Tell you 'we' aren't political?

I don't know how this could be done without breaking the law.

If you could come up with something that would harm the public image of democrats, FOX will willingly report on it. Vice versa for MSNBC.

They are so predictable it is hard to believe we have not found a way to beat them at their own game. Plain and simply put, Subterfuge

I couldn't think of anything legal either, but it's frustrating just sitting here and doing nothing, watching the one's who are supposed to enforce the law, break it.

The police are BREAKING THE LAW, and until we acknowledge that...and I mean, really acknowledge it, I fear we may not make anymore progress.

but I also fear that if we DO acknowledge it, and take matters into our own hands via illegal take-down of a Mass Media Network, other consequences could ensue, such as bloodshed, fear, and subversive manipulation of the masses, using agents to pull the collective conscious in another direction or to cause a schism in the ranks of Occupy Wall St.
