The panic is on: Not only did Jacques Cheminade take the oligarchy by surprise by exercising his natural right as a citizen of Charles de Gaulle's Fifth Republic, to mount the stage of history as a contender in the April 22 French Presidential elections, but now, by law, he has the increased right to equal media access, as any other candidate does, be it President Sarkozy or his Socialist opponent Hollande.

So far, Cheminade has already benefitted from around 15 hours of media coverage, but that leaves him another 120 hours more in the coming 28 days, which is driving some of the guys really crazy. Their lives are all the more a nightmare, since now they have to quickly study both Cheminade's 386-page incredibly rich and dense programmatic platform, and with LaRouche's crucial contributions to economic science.

Since an early signal piece in Le Figaro, it is crystal clear that behind doors, a "Get Cheminade Task Force" is deploying some two dozen "top" journalists out to terrorize the rest of the profession who, under the current circumstances, are increasingly open to an outsider challenging the rules of the system. As coverage indicates, deep divisions are appearing all over the media, some running a slander in the morning and posting honest coverage 12 hours later. Besides a very powerful legal counterattack which will become public in the next days, we can report here the spirit of unprecedented backlash from the citizenry who were provoked by the cumulative series of really unbelievable, aggressive, and insulting broadcasts (France Inter, Canal+, BFM TV and to crown it all, La Chaîne Parlementaire - LCP).

The LCP broadcast: Close to 200 negative comments started being posted to LCP's website even before the end of the program and another hundred messages of support were posted to our websites.

There is equal media access in France?!?

Why is Canada and every country in Europe so far ahead of us?!?

Cheminade qualified for media access by obtaining the signatures of 500 mayors throughout France.
