Prop 28 http://voterguide.sos.ca.gov/propositions/28/title-summary.htm

Reforming Legislator's term limits

Under Current law legislators can not serve more than 6 years in the Assembly House and 8 years in the Senate House.

This law would allow them to serve 12 years total.

A legislator could serve 12 years in one house.

This would improve the experience and long term projects of the legislative branch.

I vote YES http://ca.lwv.org/action/prop1206/prop28.html

Proposition B

san diego city has a ballet measure to move retirement for public employees into

private account

I vote NO

private banks have enough

dollar cigarette tax

I vote yes on prop 29

I vote against all judges who support the death penalty

I also do not favor those that thought putting away ghetto people

I am writing in NO WAR for me presidential candidate

No on Prop A

no government money for private profiteers

Mayor

DeMaio's fought pensions, tax increases and unions, and fought for outsourcing for

a decade. You know where he stands and he won't compromise on his core principles.

I don't understand how cutting programs constitutes principles

class size should be limited to 24

"If San Diego Unified goes through with the 1,600 layoffs of teachers, we're going

to have class sizes approaching 50," Filner(Mayor Candidate) said. "That's just

wrong. The teachers can't teach. The children can't learn, and we got to get

adequate funding."

http://www.voiceofsandiego.org/data-drive/article_b7d1edca-a9db-11e1-ab5d-

0019bb2963f4.html

seems like it's the same fight every year

why isn't there a push for more teachers not fewer ?

new and innovative is empty jargon

Fletchter(Mayor Candidate) touts tough on crime focus

(doesn't help me or the schools)

he's for bipartisan problem solving

(when it's suspect the both parties work for the rich)

Fletcher can't say close loop holes without saying tax cuts

Mayor Candidate Dumanis

We must NOT forget the military which fuels our local economy to the tune of $16

billion annually. As Mayor I will make sure the military receives the region’s

undivided support and assistance in growing their local presence.

hooray for bombs

City Budget

My approach and my philosophy to budget issues can be summed up in four words:

Living within our means.

(translates) Cut's have to made

we give up to being poor

Mayor Candidate Tobiah Pettus

Based on my extensive review of the state of the City, my opinion is that the City

of San Diego’s budget is balanced. In fact, there’s a surplus. Comprehensive

Pension Reform addresses only ~1.75% of the City’s annual budget. Reform, though

needed, should not include the unethical reduction of earned retirements.

San Diegans do not want

  • homeless people living and dying on our streets.
  • pan-handlers on almost every corner.

San Diegans want

  • good roads, good infrastructure, including bridges, reliable electrical power,

reliable water, reliable sewage systems, etc…

San Diegans want

  • litter removed from their roadways and beaches.
  • the economy to dramatically improve
  • and jobs!

don't get arrested there

Current law makes it illegal to enter or remain in an area where certain government officials (more particularly, those with Secret Service protection) will be visiting temporarily if and only if the person knows it's illegal to enter the restricted area but does so anyway. The bill expands current law to make it a crime to enter or remain in an area where an official is visiting even if the person does not know it's illegal to be in that area and has no reason to suspect its illegal. (It expands the law by changing "willfully and knowingly" to just "knowingly" with respect to the mental state required to be charged with a crime.

Election Pamphlet

funny how the tax code keeps getting bigger

Nick Popaditch another candidate for the house of representative writes

difficult decisions ... balance budget ...best American ... government out of the way ... community revenue ... grow jobs ... civil rights for everybody

well yes, civil rights should apply to everybody

business hasn't exactly been keeping the community working

PC can be annoying and confusing ,

,

in my election pamphlet, Susan Davis writes ...

I support making billionaires and millionaires pay thee fair share ....close loopholes on US job exporters... cut tax on small business

nope

Susan Davis can't even suggest raising tax without saying "cut taxes" in the line

talked to a man across the street who told me

Arizona already has elections as national holidays (can't confirm that)

He suggested he might be CIA and I said I would count on his humanity

He suggested the illegal vote was throwing Arizona (doubt that)

I said

I wanted to throw the election by getting more people to vote

Excellent article. In LA there has not been a single broken window yet again and again we have been faced with violent oppression by LAPD. I myself have been assaulted more than once. Once, barely missed being hit in the face by a cop swinging his baton wildly and with total abandon. I’m getting fucking sick of it! We carry signs and chant slogans. The police carry guns, batons, tear gas and bean bag rifles. A JFK quote keeps coming to mind… “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible… make violent revolution inevitable.” I was proud of and glad to have our Black Bloc brothers & sisters there on May Day they handled themselves much better than the LAPD.
