Instead of even more tax cuts (which don’t seem to be working) how about if the government starts issuing a debit card to all citizens that they must only use to purchase American made products and services. They can’t use it to pay down debt or invest in useless financial assets that support hiring overseas. Should create immediate demand for American made goods and services and promote hiring here. Increased demand for products that are made in America = lower unemployment here in the USA. Let other countries solve their own problems, we got to worry about ourselves.
I would start by putting 1000 bucks in everyone's card that must be spent into our economy. Would cost 300 billion but would probably enough to start a chain reaction of increased hiring, private spending and increased tax revenues to make up for the initial investment.

What do you think tax credits and corporate welfare is? Whats your plan? Do nothing?
Not taking a company's own money (tax credit) is far different than taking the money and giving it (free shit) to people to buy beer and twinkies.
