Forum Post: Lyan Ryan and Medicare

Posted 11 years ago on March 13, 2013, 9:50 p.m. EST by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT

Daily Kos announced they had video evidence of LYAN RYAN stating the following:

"We are not going to give up on destroying the health care system for the American people."

I haven't watched the movie - I'm afraid it may just make me ill.

Well, it just might. It is a very short clip. Very short.

That is a visual that I did not want and it is, now, stuck in my mind.

I must now find mind bleach.

ROFL

Yes, indeed. They might actually turn over a new leaf.

Oh, if they had the visual that I had they would.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Nah - you are thinking of sane and rational people's reactions - but we are dealing with the insane - they would likely form a liking to the treatment - being insane and all.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Awe, man. Another visual.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Sorry - your ability to see these things shows that you are strong in empathy - kind of a waste ( empathy ) - nope - no - sorry - I take that back - sympathy would be wasted on the insane assholes - empathy allows one to see how those assholes are likely to respond in various situations.

A blessing and a curse?

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

He did say it!!!!

The truth finally comes out. It's not like they haven't been trying to do exactly that for many, many years now.

Disposable people will be the result.

What a fraud. Don't get ill next to Paul Ryan, Zendog... he wants to destroy your health care.

There is only way to balance this budget and allow stimulus to provide millions of jobs increasing health care, education, and infrastructure, and that's through monetary reform where we focus on creating real wealth instead of giving trillions to banks that increase commodities prices in a process that devalues the dollar.

The only thing that should replace the ACA is a real public option. Currently Alan Grayson is proposing a bill to allow people to buy into medicare. Hundreds of billions of tax payer dollars should be going directly to health care, not insurance companies that pocket profits and take away from health care. A friend of mine with MS is constantly getting screwed by her insurance company with wild out of pocket expenses that the insurance doesn't fully cover. They also limit her range of care.

Alan Grayson proposes a public option in 2013 - http://grayson.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/grayson-introduces-medicare-you-can-buy-into-act

Even the Daily Kos calls it a "Freudian slip", which means they know he didn't say that on purpose. If you wish to get into a pissing match based on Freudian slips-there are plenty out there from the President, Biden, Pelosi, and others.

If the majority of the American public are so gullible and pathetic and brainwashed that they will call the ones made by people on one side of the aisle "the truth" and ignore all the ones made by those on the other side of the aisle, then the propaganda machine is in control.

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Except for the parts where he actually does try and destroy health care for the American people.

And pretty much everything else.

He is an Ayn Rand acolyte.

[-] -2 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

Please. Show those parts. And that those parts indeed would destroy health care for the American people. And everything else.

If I read Stephen King, does that make me his acolyte? Does that then mean that I believe in dangerous fog and clowns in sewers and time eating monsters? What do you read?

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

All ya gotta do is read his budget proposals.

Ayn Rand.......All the way home.

They don't call him Lyin' Ryan for his honesty.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Yes. It is obvious. It has nothing to do with gullibility or brainwashing.

However, considering that he is hell bent on destroying health care for Americans--it is wickedly funny.

[-] -2 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

What is obvious? That he said something he didn't mean, missed a word...wasn't paying attention?

Is he hell bent on "destroying health care for Americans"? I've never heard or observed that for myself, and this comment certainly doesn't constitute proof that he is.

That's my point. People who would claim that this is PROOF that he IS "hell bent on" what you claim he is ARE brainwashed, gullible, and pathetic. (no offense shooz)

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

It's obvious that it is a Freudian slip. Yep, he is hellbent on destroying health care in this country. Further, this would not be held up as proof. The proof is in the puddin'.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Wait? What??

Who said he didn't mean it?

HIM???

LOL He's an Ayn Rander, so yeah he meant it, he just didn't want anyone else to know..

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Same slips of the lip mittens always made then lied about and then lied about the lies. Rand is just like many of his cronies - unable to keep the hate of others from bursting out of his own mouth in damning public spewage.

[-] -2 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

So then you view ALL "Freudian slips", even those made by the President, the Vice President and others to be revelations of "truth" that they just don't want anyone else to know.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Mr. Ryan has been consistent in his attempts to destroy Health care and safety nets and he's exhibited all manner of other destructive behaviors.

Kind of exactly like the rest of GOP.

[-] -1 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

So you view ALL Freudian slips, no matter why they are made by, as revelations of "truth" that they just don't want anyone else to know.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I don't recall actually calling it that. I never mentioned a Freudian slip.

I don't think it was.

You seem to think I've said a lot of things I've never said so, I guess it's distraction on your part.

I said he spoke the truth.

A truth consistent with his Ayn Randian beliefs and the policy of his claimed political party.

[-] -1 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

I never said you called it that. The linked article calls it specifically a Freudian Slip and Girl Friday and I have both used that term.

You think he just "spoke the truth" but also that "he just didn't want anyone else to know". (which is almost a perfect definition of a Freudian slip)

But let me rephrase so you'll stop being distracted. You view ALL moments when someone who is speaking publicly says something controversial or obviously stupid, to be revelations of "truth" that they just don't want anyone else to know. Correct?

Now, unless you want to seem like you are saying things that Paul Ryan has never said, as some sort of distraction on your part, please provide evidence of him attempting to destroy health care and safety nets and all manner of other destructive behaviors, along with the policies of his claimed political party that demonstrate the same.

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

It's a Randian slip.

You keep skirting that simple reality.

Rand Paul is an even uglier animal, though I don't know why you brought him up, unless it was to show how BAD neolibe(R)tarianism really is, as well as to show how it's infected the GOP.

Which is exactly what I've been saying all along

So thanks for your endorsement of the truth.

That was refreshingly unexpected.

.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Nice - but expect Vapid to not give up on her BS so easily.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

LOL......No, I wasn't expecting that at all.

I expect a lot of dancing around the actual issue as per he/she/it's MO.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yep

BTW - good line = That was refreshingly unexpected.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

In this case, I believe, a little flattery will get me exactly nowhere.

But you never know.......maybe.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

LOL - compliment - never flattery.

[-] -2 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

Same issue every time, and I never have danced around it. You never provide any facts or evidence to support your statements. All you offer up is propaganda on the level of the International Dance Team of propaganda.

Psssst...you just keep pretending that you speak the "truth" and and I'll keep pointing out what you don't want anyone else to know.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Yer dancin'..........................!!!........................:)

Paul Ryan, said what he said.

You're dancin' around makin' excuses and pretending it doesn't fit into everything else he says.

It fits him like a glove on Hepburn.

You keep on dancin'!!

Thanks for that.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Vapid does not supply facts - well only what it considers facts from it's fantasy world.

[-] -1 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

Corrected. Oh my! I said Rand Paul instead of Paul Ryan. And you saw right through my slip to "the truth" just like you do every time shooz! You got me! I just didn't want anyone else to know!

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Hey vapid - Rp or Pr - easy to mistake the identical twins of different parents.

[-] -2 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

Actually it's more of a similarity in name length and letters and not paying exact and total attention to what I'm saying (typing). Happens to people all the time.

Well, except to shooz, who never says anything mistakenly and if he ever does, we can be assured it's the truth that he just doesn't want anyone else to know.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Vapid don't be so coy - everyone sees the resemblance between Rand and Paul and also Boner and Bitch and Bitchelle and Can't-or and and and

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

It's hard to tell the difference, I know.

Now you do too.
