I'm planning an event in Fairfield, Iowa. We are looking for a live petition to have people at our event sign so that their names are down in print to show their solidarity and demand for the changes OWS is demanding. Any info or direction relating to this is extremely heplful. Thanks!

Positivity is key, this is a shift in the name of the people and we will succeed! It's so beautiful!

A petition is a great idea and should be at every occupy event in solidarity with the demands listed here: http://occupywallst.org/forum/proposed-list-of-demands-please-help-editadd-so-th/ and grievances here: http://occupywallst.org/forum/first-official-release-from-occupy-wall-street/

I also think these demands and grievances need to be much more prominently displayed and all protestors should work to spread the message to average Americans on the street and explain to them why our interests are the same as we are all part of the 99%. We need these people on our side and to hopefully eventually join the or at least support the movement...

Does anybody have expertise on constructing a valid petition that could go with the protestors to Washington DC so we'd have something to work for and begin collecting signatures?

I also think we should also be working on building a database of researched articles and sources that clearly define what has changed in the past several years and why these demands are a valid solution to removing corporate influence from the government as at least a start towards the possibility of positive change!
