Forum Post: Liberty Plaza Looking Great, Media is Exaggerating Problems

Was great energy down at the Plaza today, many interesting things going on. Times Up has some bikes hooked up to charge batteries and learned that one battery can generate power for 3 computers for 12 hours. Glad to see that there are now broader paths down at the site and the traffic flow much better. Things are well organized.Lots of very interesting discussions going on, representative from NJ speaking about how to stand up against corporate power. I'd come across in an article in the Huffington Post that there were a lot of druggies down there and had been incidents of assault, but I spoke to many occupiers today and discovered that that article was grossly exaggerated. There is a no drugs/no alcohol policy already in place, and perhaps an isolated individual may abuse it, but the occupiers are successful in dealing with such issues as they arise and taking care of the problem.
