"A Peoples History of the United States (1492 to present)" by Howard Zinn helps to explain how the wealthy have kept control from the beginning in 1776. Example; only wealthy WHITE land owners had the right to vote in 1776. Zinn's final conclusion: the "government" doesn't share the power without it being DEMANDED by the people. Let's finally share the profit fairly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, my boss makes more than me! No fair! Sure, if the company goes under, he loses his job and the several million he invested and has risked while I only lose a job. . . but I WANT HIS MONEY!!!
