Buddy Roemer is scheduled to participate in a Republican candidate debate tonight, November 10, at 6:30 pm. Confirmed participants are Buddy Roemer, Gary Johnson, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich. I'm looking forward to it! It won't be on TV but can be viewed online at www.granitegrok.com. Here's a link to an article about the debate: http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20111109/GJNEWS_01/711099802/-1/FOSNEWS

Buddy Roemer makes far to much sense to be a part of either of the political parties.

Anyone that gets on that stage with the current Republican candidates just lowers oneself to that despicable level.

Buddy is SO much better than that. Buddy Roemer deserves better than that! The Repub party does not deserve Buddy Roemer!

Then there's reality. Such is the dilemma.

Let me think about this just for a second. Would it help the nation to have a prime time debate on elections without big money PACs and Supper PACs and corporate funding, the effect of elected officials bought by lobbyists, Fortune 500 companies that don’t pay any taxes, companies that receive millions in stimulus funding and tax credits that use it to invest outside of America, banks that are to big to fail and fund the campaigns of politicians more that anyone? The nation needs to have this debate, not the balloon juice about right or left rhetoric.

By all means let Buddy Roemer debate!

That said I expect the fat cats, and sold out and entrenched GOP party leaders to fight with all there power and money to never let that happen.

If he co-opts this movement, we would all be lucky. Everyone should be listening to this man and supporting him. Maybe we should co-opt him! And get this show on the road, ending the corruption of our government.

Yep, as a progressive, I like Buddy far more than RP, for example...

I agree, Buddy opposes free trade, an important issue.

America needs Buddy. The GOP decided that the GOP doesn't need Buddy. Such a shame.
