Oil from this pipeline is dedicated for world markets; no benefit to the US, only Big Oil (Kochs).

Keystone XL is not dead yet. Make sure it does die.

SC should have this administration say the oil is for export and therefore no benefit.

From SC's contact letter asking for support:

This pipeline would carry the world's dirtiest fossil fuel, tar sands oil, from Canada to Texas, where it would be shipped overseas. To build the pipeline, TransCanada has to seize private land from ranchers and farmers, and then expose what's left to the threat of oil spills and leaks. Clean water, clean air, agriculture, and our shared climate would all be put at risk for what have been greatly exaggerated benefits.

what's wrong with building a pipeline ?

is the corcern that the pipeline is privately owned ?

It is an environmental hazard waiting to happen. It is being promoted as a jobs creator. The jobs it will create full time that last will be very few. The jobs it would create are not worth the risk to our land/country.

every car in the street is an environment hazard already happening

Exactly why the oil addiction has got to end. We do not need the Keystone XL pipeline and from all the talk it's processed oil is not even slated for American supplies. We need to push for green energy development, we need a new fuel base, like Hydrogen. We need to stop poisoning our world.

hydrogen needs energy to be produced

the oil is already in the ground

aqueducts worked great for farming

the government should seek to supply the people with energy not private companies

is this about a corporations right to privacy?

corporations are made of people

the people should have the right to know how their corporation works

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (25707) from Coon Rapids, MN 1 year ago

No it is about removing their ( Corporations ) treatment as being people by the government. It has nothing to do with their employees. It is about removing their influence from "OUR" ( real people ) government.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (14071) 1 year ago

The corps don't their employees like people

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (25707) from Coon Rapids, MN 1 year ago

What? I think that might have been an incomplete comment.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (14071) 1 year ago

The corps don't "treat" their employees like people

whoops got a little fast with the scissors

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (25707) from Coon Rapids, MN 1 year ago

Which is also why we are here, and is also why it is important to remove their false status as people. This is a key to making change in the name of real people.

But Buffett and Soros will make more money! And they're for higher taxes so it's OK! :)
