It’s about time that something like this has happened; I was asking myself why this was not happening back in 2008? The reason why, in my opinion, the 1% opposes Occupy is because they are afraid they are going to lose what they have. I understand this, however, to all those who stand by the “get a job” slogan need to explain to me how high achieving graduates should pay for their $200,000 education with a $35,000/ year salary working at one of the “BIG” banks, never mind the unemployed, the ones that are employed are struggling as well. Stop acting like getting a job is the solution to all this. Its a much bigger problem, we have moved farther and farther away from manufacturing to a service based industry, outsourced our labor, and have stretched out financial safety net too thin. I have spent my entire undergraduate career studying economics and its plain to see we are struggling as a nation and something needs to be done. We have too long been distracted with breads and circuses and finally the wool is being lifted from our eyes. Good luck Occupy I hope the best for your efforts. We deserve to be heard not shut down.

well, why stop at not paying back our student loans? why not just not pay back Any debt we promised to pay? It's not like our word is our bond or anything. ]Let's max out our credit cards and cut them up. say screw the bills in the mailbox. end the use of credit all together in this country!

well? why stop there? why even pay for anything, the stores are full of food. let's go get it and walk out.

sorry if I sound unsympathetic. I've worked with my blue collar shirt on for 28 years of my life. couldn't afford college. I'm supposed to feel sorry for someone who ran up a $200,000 college debt reading books about how much better communist and socialist systems are than our own?

just asking
