This seems like a really good time for labor and OWS to join together to create another political party, or join forces with the Green Party and Progressives, promoting multiple capabilities and concepts for creative governance of the people who make up this entire country. At the very minimum, they could get together and see how much power and organization and energy they have together and how many ideas they share. Just the movement into something like this might make the current officeholders take notice.

It's ALWAYS a good time for workers, progressives, Greens and any other self identifying part of the 99% to join together and here are 3 links as to why -

From the last article - 'Let us restore “liberal” to its root origins, with brave defenses of liberty alongside tolerance, individualism alongside“collective” teamwork. What’s wrong with pulling together, “all for one and one for all,” the recipe for job creation, health delivery, and critical ecological balances? For that simple, communitarian creed separates us from both know-nothing yokels and scheming fat cats who mouth individualism while funding inquisitions to insure lockstep obedience.'

Excellent post but do not count on 'the current officeholders' for anything!

Thanks! I agree, it is always a good time; what I really meant was, with all the blatant abuse, the conservatives in disarray, the people riled up about anti-everything stuff, it is a very opportune time as well.

I agree and for insights into how we got where we are and what really needs to change in our country - http://www.nationofchange.org/right-s-sham-religion-rugged-individualism-1355328952 . Never Give Up! Occupy Solidarity and Democracy!

I dedicated a lot of thought to this. And yesterday I woke up a changed individual; in fact, I would say I'm at least 2/3s better today than I was yesterday.

I would encourage you to do the same thing. Because nothing changes if people don't change. And yesterday, I was just like you, part of the problem; today I am part of the solution.

So tell me, how do you plan to change?

You know nothing about me to be able to patronise me or ask me personal questions. I plan to change by not taking umbrage at your questionable manners and condescension and then I shall attempt to gently point out to you, just what 'rugged individuals' can do when they are atomised and alienated from their society at large - http://www.toledoblade.com/Nation/2012/12/14/State-police-respond-to-report-of-school-shooting-in-Newtown-Conn-lockdown-in-place.html . Never Give Up On Gun Control and Society! Occupy Good Manners and Peace!

The problem is that you assessment is wrong. This wasn't a "rugged individual." The rugged take their licks straight up without complaint. It's only cowards who do things like this.

No man is an island. Build your own roads, power supply infrastructure and hospital - then you can call yourself 'rugged' if you like! Also try to see - http://www.nationofchange.org/five-lies-gun-lobby-tells-you-1355582027 . I don't know about Wales, but we have the phrase 'school shooting' in this country, and can you imagine just how sad that is? Do you have kids? Never Stop Looking Out For Your Neighbor! Occupy Society!
