I've been saying for years that Middle America will finally get mad enough to light the torches and head for Washington. Wall Street is a great start, and all the other areas that have come out to say- ENOUGH!!. I applaud ALL of you involved and hope that in the one year before the next elections we can turn this country around.
its neat your enthusiastic. all of the people come in here to start a new thread on a one liner- thanks for contributing to the noise and confusion instead of actually participating in existing threads.
gawdoftruth, I apologize for adding to the confusion. Just got in and wasn't up-to-speed as to the format. However, the more voices added, the more they see that we are serious about this. Please keep workin', I appreciate you folks. I'm stuck down here in Florida and we've got a horribly apathetic voter base here. Again, my thanks. therocketdoc
gawdoftruth,
You are correct to suggest that we need a more organized forum structure and that it's tough to discuss things in the current format. But there's no reason to demean those who are enthusiastic and are voicing their support.
therocketdoc, welcome! Glad to have you here. Let's do this =)
i just wish that people would stop and think about what happens after they toss in their two cents and how.
Sure, but when we are trying to build a massive movement involving tons of different people we need to keep our irritations to ourselves, since they only work to divide us. I am not suggesting that you are objectively wrong; I'm just saying that expressing it is unhelpful in my opinion.
over all, i think that we need to get the message out. focus people. get lucid. don't flood the forum with one liner new threads- get to the old threads. We don't need a giant immense scrawl of new threads. we need real conversations. I thought a bit about it and i almost censored myself on it but no. People need to start playing adult around here and that includes not starting new threads just to come say hi. If everyone does that we end up with millions of new chit chat hello threads. where are we going to find the substantive threads and how in all of that?
I agree. It's a problem. Perhaps you are correct to express that people shouldn't start new threads, but saying "thanks for contributing to the noise" is a little harsh and there's no reason to dismiss enthusiastic individuals like that.
We do need a new forum structure. Maybe emailing those in charge of the website could result in the creation of a phpBB type of forum which would be much more helpful?
jart tells me its coming soon. its been like a few days since and it should have and prolly could have been done for sub forums in the first day. I'm trying to be patient.
Sorry, but who is jart?
Sounds good. I look forward to it.
the forum admin. she may be in the chat ?
Oh I see. Thanks gawd.
