It seems that so many have such little understanding of the mathematics of an economy. All economies regardless of the type of government ruling them are consumer driven. The mistake of the republican's Reaganomic trickle down theory was the greed of the ruling class that tied up wealth in the hands of the chosen few who do not now exist in sufficient numbers to consume in a quantity capable of carrying our nations economic engine. To survive, let alone prosper, we must move enough wealth into the hands of the lower "classes" who have to spend it in order to simply survive and there are so many more of us that consumption will increase driving up demand that requires more production which requires more employment and that becomes self sustaining with volume which produces governmental revenue to be used to reduce the deficits driven up by policies put in place by failed economic ideas of the recent past. That is exactly why regulations are required, to control greed and attendant corruption that comes when we leave the opportunity open for human nature to overcome our good intentions. Just a few thoughts presented for your contemplation. The one thing we have been missing in this movement seems to be a consensus of ideas and direction so I throw this out to see how the rest of us feel!
