WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! Look at that mountain of evidence!

[-] 1 points by Rico (3027) 12 years ago

Exactly. An extra point for you for caring.

[-] 3 points by alouis (1511) from New York, NY 12 years ago

Rico, is that you? I wonder. Where is your evidence?

[-] 1 points by Rico (3027) 12 years ago

I have none, and I gave you an extra point for caring.

[-] 0 points by printer (5) 12 years ago

theirs plenty of evidence- man are you blind? or stupid? open your eyes and read some of these posts.

[-] 0 points by alouis (1511) from New York, NY 12 years ago

"There's plenty of evidence" then nothing?

[-] 1 points by mrkeyjr (29) 12 years ago

We ought to be clear here. This individual did not say, "there's plenty of evidence," he stated "theirs plenty of evidence." The simple fact that he cannot get a word right would indicate that his opinion isnt worth the toilet paper he cannot afford to wipe his rear end with.

[-] 0 points by alouis (1511) from New York, NY 12 years ago

I was a bit surprised because the rico who posts who I am familiar with is proud of being "fact based", or was.

[-] 1 points by mrkeyjr (29) 12 years ago

Ive learned on this site that there are varying shades of "facts". Apparently Rico's definition of fact varies greatly from mine, which is the truth.

[-] 0 points by alouis (1511) from New York, NY 12 years ago

Yeah I agree, Rico's "facts" are not so factual. I'm a bit surprised he posts this thing "naked" of any evidence or even anecdotes. It isn't like him. Now, of course the FBI or some such organization would naturally monitor this site. In some sense then OWS site owners are creating a space where people can identify themselves to the FBI or whatever agency is charged with this monitoring. That's unfortunate, but anyone who goes online and doesn't think he or she isn't subject to being surveillance is naive.

[-] 1 points by mrkeyjr (29) 12 years ago

Alouis, I have to ask a question of you, and I hope it does not come off as rude or anything of the sort (although I fear it might). Why would the FBI waste their time monitoring this site in your opinion? I ask this of you as you appeared to be fairly well acclimated to this site and intelligent to me.

It appears that this website is little more than a bunch of whiners complaining about things, celebrating very minor victories (hooray we slowed down traffic today by marching up a street), or throwing out random thoughts about actions that should be taken, but based upon the vast, vast, vast majority of individuals on this site we all know will never be taken. I could only assume their time would be far better served monitoring other sites. Your thoughts?

[-] 1 points by Rico (3027) 12 years ago

Of course the FBI monitors this site, and well they should.

The FBI hopefully monitors any site likely to draw out domestic terrorists and/or people who express a willingness to engage in violence. Frankly, if I ran the FBI, I would set-up sites with reactionary themes under deep cover with the explicit intent of attracting the nut-jobs just so I could identify such people people for a closer look.

If I ran the FBI, I would also monitor sites such as these just to determine whether there was any foreign influences and propaganda evident. I have been posting here since early October, and I am positive I have seen organized activity by an anti-Israeli coalition, presumably out of Iran or it's associates.

The name of my post, by the way, was lifted from another post that was being used to slander another well respected poster here. By re-posting the topic, I was able to push the other post off the forum list. By re-posting without evidence, I was also able to determine just how many people would question the lack of evidence I made more explicit here than the other poster did in his own. I am happy to see that most responses here question my assertion given the lack of substantiation. I also conclude that the popularity of the other slanderous post was related less to the FBI and more to the 'fun' of slandering someone, and that's a bit sad.

Law enforcement as such for one thing, needs things to do, preferably not too dangerous and not in the cold and rain. For another one never knows what kind of information might be culled from these bitchings and moanings and dreamings. Maybe they can dig up another Jose Pimentel, and they'd love to have someone like him they could link to OWS.

[-] 1 points by mrkeyjr (29) 12 years ago

Fair enough. I appreciate the response. Good points. Night.

Yes...thank you for help in this Rico. We couldn't do it without you being the head snitch.

Your pals at the FBI

[-] 1 points by pinker2 (2) 12 years ago

Not sure about that but it IS being run by people who are blocking what they don't want others to see. Did you realize that? Sort of like the FBI, but sophomoric.

This is why we are here this is why you are needed.

This is more evidence than anyone else has. You're awesome Rico!

[-] 1 points by Rico (3027) 12 years ago

Evidence is so passe. I have learned two things from this post. First, there are some, but not many, for whom the assertion alone is sufficient. Second, that the popularity of a similar post targeting a certain individual appears to me due more to the appeal of bashing someone than due to the idea the FBI is roaming these forums (which, of course, they are and should be). It was my little social experiment.

[-] 1 points by April (3196) 12 years ago

I like it, the social experiment. I agree.

For some reason Thrasymaque has developed quite a few followers that don't like him. I really don't think it is about the graphics. People get really mad at him and are inappropriately mean. In the sense that it seems a very disproportionate response. I find it weird and creepy. ows2012 especially lately.

It was one thing when he was being called a troll or psyops kind of things. But the stuff lately is way beyond. Totally disproportionate, absolutely unfair and uncalled for, disgusting and obnoxious.

I think it is because he is very smart, he has a very logical way of thinking that maybe some people aren't accustomed to. And I think it makes some people really uncomfortable for some reason.

I feel terrible about all the awful stuff being said about him. It cannot be a good feeling to be called some of the things he has been called. Even though it's not true. Nobody, deserves that - so unfairly. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? I think that is what your post points out so well!

[-] 0 points by patriot4change (818) 12 years ago

I can assure you. The FBI doesn't have the time to read these posts. And if an agent does occasionally browse through this website, I am certain that he/she does not read the individual comments. I would tend to think that any FBI agent who did read the individual comments on this Forum would find them amusing at best.

Obama's teleprompters were stolen right under the FBI noses. They also had SEVERAL FBI heavily armored SUV's stolen from under their noses right infront of an FBI office , not to mention several laptops with highly classified information on them. Need I say more ?

[-] 0 points by thefutureisnow (223) from Newark, NJ 12 years ago

Yes i think its, possible but what can the FBI really do if someone is not breaking the law they can,t just go around busting people and locking them up just because they have a discussion forum about politics, if someone breaks the law then that,s a different story , so don,t worry about the FBI if you are not breaking any laws , there is nothing they can do about it and if they do you can file against them in civil court later ,

[-] 1 points by Rico (3027) 12 years ago

Exactly. I'm sure the FBI does monitor these forums, and I'm glad they do.

[-] 0 points by thefutureisnow (223) from Newark, NJ 12 years ago

me too i am only here to network for the movement and do not wish to partake in any illegal activities , and will not interact with anyone who does especially those idiot,s who post bullshit about the blood running red in the streets , those are the kinds of idiot,s who bring bad publicity and unwanted scrutiny to the movement , and also they really have no idea what the hell is really going on , this is a chance to do achieve what the OWS movement is about legally the way American,s are supposed to be able to table,s are turning even people who work for the federal Gov,t who are not on some hidden payroll or down with OWS , and if we keep it that way it will become a way of life instead of just another movement that got set on the back burner of society ,
