Forum Post: It's a rethuglican thang. Don't let anyone tell ya different - make em SHOW you the proof.

This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Are all of the dems perfect? No - and those who fail to represent the people need to be removed from office in the state and in the federal governments.

But seriously - there is no parity of evil between the dems in office and the reps in office. Look at the example in the link below. Then look in the internet for similar situations - present both parties and their specific abuses of the people and post the links showing those abuses. Check out all 50 states and show which local governments are abusing the people and look at the majority configuration of those states - note whether the state has a majority dem make-up or a majority rep make-up.

This is not a problem isolated to Arizona it is common in the red states - We're Number 1! Arizona reaches another milestone of hate

When the people do not unite to own their government.

When people opt out of getting involved to own their government.

It is a fact that government will not represent the best interests of the people.

And those assholes who get into office and are not removed from office by the people. What happens to them? Why many will start in a low office and work their way up to where they can be a real detriment to the population that they are supposed to serve - say like become a senator or a house speaker or a governor and even move on to federal offices.

This is how disease starts - from the bottom - as a weak infection that then grows stronger and moves out in an ever increasing invasion of the whole body. One town to one state to 50 states and on to to the whole world.

When government is allowed to go bad - the bad does not stay local - it spreads - and so a government that abuses it's own people - can not be expected to treat the rest of the world any better.

And incredibly - there are people who band together to say opt out - insanely stating that this will make things better.

Don't listen to em - In my opinion they are one of two things - 1) mentally unbalanced or 2) actively working to support the diseased status quo.

Things only get better when they are actively tended to.

( I expect to be roundly and relentlessly attacked by the 1% supporters - most especially the ones who are promoting that the people just opt out do nothing and walk away - look for their efforts to conflate the dems as being exactly like the reps )

On the playgrounds during the sixties playing marbles or some other game, if someone cheated everyone else joined together to stop the person from getting away with cheating. "Cheaters never Win".

Some clever men found ways to cheat and not get caught, and they did win, enriching themselves without the remorse of knowing they weren't playing fairly. This has happened in politics and has become so sophisticated, those cheating use cleverness to deceive others to never know they're cheating. If people knew they were cheating, the people would be outraged and demand it be stopped. This is the reason for the Occupy movement today, and it will take many more people to demand the cheating to be stopped than currently know it exists. We the people need you to help spread the word of this cheating and become a large enough force to completely alter the entrenched establishment that currently exists. If you and others remain ignorant, we will never have the power to demand the cheating be stopped.

This is the very reason for Occupy, and other movements. No Justice, No peace.

Demand? Only Demand? No I prefer to ACT - and that would mean removing from office those who are not supporting the people.

Education is KEY to uniting the people to ACT

If you keep pushing people to opt out instead of ACTING to own the system (local state and fed) - the people will then never be successful. They might be educated but to no purpose. The People need to ACT - and that means running people for office and removing people from office.

Six Sigma in action - and not in inaction. The people need to own the system to make positive change to the system and so positive change for the people.

Your continuation to disregard reality is disturbing.

Much of what you are advocating makes sense unless the current political process is designed to prevent voting out the bad, and voting in the good. It has become more complicated than that by design. Otherwise, we could have gathered together again for voting drives, etc. No, another way has become necessary and Occupy showed that many have figured that out.

BTW - about that part of your comment =

"No, another way has become necessary and Occupy showed that many have figured that out."

What is that other way that you feel Occupy has shown?

If voting out the bad and voting in the good were not possible. Then there would be no good left in office by now.

There would be no one trying to drum up opposition to the TPP or the fast tracking of it. It would have gone sailing right on through - the same for the keystone pipeline.

Look to the reality of actions taking place note opposition as well as support - in looking note what is being opposed and by whom as well as what is being supported and by whom.

Did you watch the video link attached in the main post? If not you should - for it is a common example of what is happening today in certain parts of this country. And there are more examples readily available for those who look (search) through the internet.

[-] 0 points by windyacres (1197) 8 years ago

When I see actions taking place I see a big picture, actions that have taken place over decades. Issues like keystone and TPP are almost irrelevant to the size of the big picture I see and the actions that cause us to live in the existing world. The accumulations of actions I've seen since the sixties are the reason I know how to interpret reality, not just Viet Nam, Watergate, etc, but a big picture of actions that point to corruption.

OK - but that really goes back to my post and the peoples involvement/action or UN-involvement/inaction.

That does not address what you said =

"No, another way has become necessary and Occupy showed that many have figured that out."

So - What is that other way that you feel Occupy has shown?

The thing you need to realize is that as people get older, they become completely out of touch and unable to comprehend things that are outside of how they have experienced life on this planet.

No one is immune to it. Right now you are looking like a very tired athlete on the field that should have retired years ago. The very same way Congress looks.

And its that mindset that you hold- that many hold- that keep these tired old bastards in Congress indefinitely.

You don't understand how the system works (I hope you dont at least and you arent some paid gov hack troll) and you really dont understand the mindset of people at this point. You just arent grasping it. And you arent grasping that you arent grasping it.

It happens to all of us, I will probably dig my heels in the dirt when Im your age too. Well, probably not, Ive been around a bit and dont buy into the gov propaganda too much. But it happens to some extent to all of us.

Know where your life is in your journey. To be self aware is a gift, not a curse.

Your view of the elderly is pretty piss poor - the elderly have seen much and lived through much - your attacking of decades and decades of experience and gained knowledge really shows how fucked up your thinking is and hints at just how full of yourself that you really are.

Congress looks crappy not because the institution is old nor because some of the members are old. Congress looks crappy because the people have not been tending it.

All of the very worst in Congress are not necessarily old at all ( that is a false claim on your part) - some of the very worst in Congress are very young.

Now you go into pure bullshit - as I do understand how things work - you just can't deal with my sharing of my understanding as it goes against your bullshit propaganda.

With the way ( you say that ) you look at the world it would be quite a thing for you to reach an advanced age - as it seems you are hell bent on destroying yourself and everyone you can drag along with you.

Life "is" a journey - open your eyes and take in what surrounds you as you travel - being self centered is not a gift but a handicap.

This isn't about me whatsoever. Its about a "thats how things are" attitude that plagues older organizations- very similar to Congress and the people that support them. Thats just how it goes, you aren't immune to it.

I even admitted that I will be there too at some point. The question is- Will I be as blind as you and your peers are to reality or not?

My guess is most likely yes. Probably not quite as much of a boot licker as you are, but it will happen to all of us to some degree.

Of course it is about you - it is about me as well - it is about everyone alive on this planet.

That's how things are attitude that plagues any organization - young or old - is a product of flawed thinking.

That is why every organization young or old needs proper care and continuous tending.

No one is immune to poor thinking - and because that is how it has gone - does not mean that that is how it needs to remain - the cure is called continuous monitoring of the process and tending to ( correcting ) the cause of errors/malfunctions as they occur. It is a matter of education and of perspective. Currently your perspective is pretty fucked-up.

↥twinkle ↧stinkle reply permalink

[EDIT] No it didn't - what it did prove was that Obama is duplicitous to say the least - and a huge failure for the people. EDIT-> But seriously - I couldn't see the public going and electing Mittens the corp(se)oRAT raider. Who else was there to vote for? Hillary?

Obama is a single individual - as president he has a lot of power - but until the president becomes a dictator - the senate and the congress really have more of an input to steer the ship of state.

So tell me about the rethuglican actions over the last 6+ years.

Tell me about the issues that they roadblocked.

Tell me about their refusing medical coverage to the citizens of their own states.

There is plenty more - but I expect that you will deflect and avoid and evade rather than deal with the issue of the actions of the rethuglicans in office.

STINKLE #7 For implying that we should go with the *lesser evil." Errr... I think that we have been doing that for 40 plus years while unions have been decimated, people's lives destroyed, and while the criminal elite have flourished. You want more of that? Do you have a full deck?

If you want to learn which is doubtful, then come to NY and talk to people. That will mean leaving the forum which you have desperately tried to control.

BTW, NO PARTISAN DEMOCRAT like yourself will be my inquisitor on this Occupy forum. You are well beyond the point of expanding your mind.

You won't answer a direct question because you don't have an answer - you are just like the rethuglicans attacking the ACA = (rethuglican Boner) Do we have something to replace the ACA with? You bet and it's better. what is your rethuglican alternative?. (rethuglican Boner) I can't tell ya - but it's good.

Now dance - dance - toss some more shit - cause I know you ain't gonna answer the question.

All you seem willing and able to do is:

10th track: (Tossing Shit)

As We have nothing to back-up our stated positions (opt-out fiction = public self defeating) - We will do our best to throw it back on ( put a lie on) any who would ask for details of our non-existent action plans (Ya know......those who put the lie to our bullshit - "who shine the light on our bullshit").

The putdown we use on others is simple - and with it in play - we then retreat - to our constant tactic of providing nothing while saying much (politi-speak = talking endlessly while saying "really" nothing at all - nothing of any value - see also: endlessly arguing circular "public self defeating" logic).

Tossing shit - we love it.

Occupy has only shown that we know they are cheating and we demand that it stop. We say the only solution is World Revolution! We waited so long for elected officials to stop the cheating for us but we discovered they were part of the cheating! Get the money out of politics! We know decisions are made so that clever cheaters can steal money, yet they have created a government where the people we elect must spend 1 of every 3 days begging for money from people that want to continue cheat us. That is an unacceptable way to run a government. Take the money out of the elections.

I know what has brought about past revolutions - I know about the many failures of revolution to making a positive and lasting change for the people - and how often a successful revolution has not been any better for the people.

You are the one talking about slobbering at the feet of the wealthy - NOT I - and so far your only contributions have been how you would have the people continue to be powerless.

I am not anti-OWS - that - again - is "YOU" throwing SHIT.

Fucking with everyone? No sorry - Not guilty. I have however not been shy to point out your bullshit and the bullshit of your other stinkle/tinkle teamers - your BS that supports the 1% remaining firmly in control. That really pisses you off - doesn't it.
