I don't understand why this particular family should be supported. A loan was taken out for $300k and that is described as being 3 times the home's value. The original owner has passed away and the survivors have a choice. Take $2500 and move out, or buy the house at current market value. I fail to see the Pittman family as victims. It looks more like the old woman that took out the loan for more then the house was worth has defrauded the bank.
